Russel Dentonyou gather rock fragments from the quarry fields and then go to the guy in the stump hat in the glaucous quarry or the guy near the campfire in the shimmering quary, to hand in the rock fragments and you get the geopicks which in turn will allow you to dig in the quarry fields...hope this helps
