RaymondForgive me for asking how you do things. But most places that have a To-Do list of known bugs and issues that they have said that they were going to take care of actually do those fixes whenever they stick their hands into the code. You have stuck your hands into the code at least 3 times since you said that you were going to fix this. First was for the Valentines day Event, then for the St Patricks Day Event then for a fix since some people actually have more than 30/30 of the Clovers so you went into the code to fix that.
When are you going to fix this other long standing issue? |

Geri GamesgirlRaymond, do you think the 102% comes from the "extra" achievements we have? Or doing the museum maps and the crypt repeatable quests? Just a thought...maybe it's not a glitch...dunno for sure, though.

RaymondNope, it's that the game can't count and that's reprehensible where 'stats' matter.

RaymondGeri, I forgot to say that all that matters in completeness are the 105/105 or more precisely 171 Puzzle Monsters shown in 2 places in the Profile, all 4537 puzzle pieces and all 323 of the CI's from each of the 171 Squares. This 171 does not count the 3 Friend Squares but the 323 number might be counting those 6 CI's.
As for additional CI's those are totally optional, my Profile states that I have 542 but I only have 524, a difference of 18 and that can't be it because many people don't have all those. P.S. 524 is everything except 4 months of BW Club CI's. The number discrepancy might be part of the 102% error. 10 Squares, 10 non-monsters, possibly 127 puzzle pieces of this latest Christmas Event (2011 not 2010's Christmas which was different) appear in the profile in the place that lists monsters and puzzle pieces captured. Events HAVE NEVER before counted in overall counts of things. And I think a few of the CI's or puzzle monsters there were repeats of things that we long time players have already had, so part of the 18 off is from that, I'm unsure if ANY of the excess 2% is from hat though since we were more than 100% done even before Christmas. Justins post linked to above is not explanatory about what's what. |

Pam GlyptisI'm just going to copy over what I had said to Raymond on another thread - The one about The Saint Patrick's Day Event. I had commented about how cute my new pet that I got for my reward for completing that is. Players who completed this Event last year and had already gotten this pet, didn't receive another pet, nor an actual reward of any kind, which I then commented, saying that they should have received some type of reward for completion of it this year. I then commented about this issue, but am moving my comment here now where it belongs.
I had never understood why it mattered so much, but am now starting to... I think. Raymond: "I find it strange that actually not getting one more Pet actually increased my Profile CI number by 1. Pets have never counted as CI's, same as Swords." Pam: "That does seem like the strangest thing of all of it. They have such intricate and extensive coding that they deal with during their programming on a daily basis, and to just toss in an additional number to your Profile Stats, when they know fully well that you didn't receive an actual item for it, makes no sense at all to me. And, like you say the disparity in the numbers are growing with everything new that happens. I'm not very intelligent about any of the programming and/or coding issues themselves, but to the Devs, these things are just a matter of routine, they deal with working them out without hardly thinking I would imagine. So, it seems to me that it would be very easy and not time-consuming for them to straighten them out properly, and make them match-up. I couldn't understand for the longest time, why it would even matter so much, as I've never been maxed-out or near the 100% mark to get it. But, I think I am now as I'm getting closer. I'm for sure seeing more and more people asking about their stat numbers, and why things don't match up, and where to find their difference so they can get it to match. And, with a game like this, with so much of it being based on stats, and the main goal of the game being to actually be at 100%, I'm starting to understand why it does matter. The goal is to reach 100% on your game, and people aren't being able to figure out where they might be missing an item or something, so that they can reach that goal. Also, because there's hundreds of everything now, and no way to know where any particular item even came from, especially after you've been playing for long enough for it to become a factor that these numbers are not small, for any of the given categories, and we're dealing with a total number in the thousands when you look at the overall picture, I'm seeing where and why it does matter so much now. I do wish they'd take some time to correct it, stats are important to this game, and something they should be giving some attention to. Why have Achievements to reach that are based on these numbers, that are also a big part of the main goal in this game, if they're never going to match up. They made the goal of the game to be based on these numbers, they should take the time to make them correct. I think I finally understand, at least a whole lot more than I did before. I still have a long way to go, I'm at 95%, so now I can see where someday, hopefully in the foreseeable future sometime soon, this will become a factor for me in some way." |
