Mania Gowi was really expecting a bhadington for his looks and stats
but what i see is a joke, his special attack is pretty low compared to the fire starter, even though in the charts the difference is huge!! with new guardians to be released with better stats, you should consider break the "can only get 10 points per level up" and give them what they really deserved based on their stats, my badhington already got 2 or 3 ZEROS on special attack and special defense and they are suposed to be the best so far... there should be NO limitation to the points they can get, as it is now badhington only have more defenses than firslash have and that is really disapointing i cant get a single +3 on special attack on him and he had 28 level 10 and was well picked |

Mania Gowhere is a pic with the difference and tell me if it seems fair to limit bhadington to only 10 points per level

Benedikt AlbertI thought a while about all those issues (Mooky/Kowa doing very little damage; the three rares being considered weak due to their low Special Attack; normal types having wasted stats with Special Attack; etc.) and came up with something like this:
Instead of only using Attack vs. Defense and Special Attack vs. Special Defense it should be Attack + Special Attack vs. Defense + Special Defense with the type of attack multiplied both in the Attack and Defense calculation. This would help all those balanced types a lot (Bhadington is a balanced type... mine has 40 in every stat). I want to give a few examples (for Guardians around level 25)... Multiplier of 2: Special Attack Guardian: Special Attack 70, Attack 40 If using a Special Attack, the calculation would be: (2*70 + 40)/3 = 60 Special Attack [vs. (2*Special Defense + Defense)/3] If using a normal Attack, the calculation would be: (70 + 2*40)/3 = 50 Attack [vs. (Special Defense + 2*Defense)/3] Balanced Guardian: Special Attack 50, Attack 50 If using a Special Attack, the calculation would be: (2*50 + 50)/3 = 50 Special Attack [vs. 2*Special Defense + Defense)/3] If using a normal Attack, the calculation would be: (50 + 2*50)/3 = 50 Attack [vs. (Special Defense + 2*Defense)/3] Multiplier of 3: Special Attack Guardian: Special Attack 70, Attack 40 If using a Special Attack, the calculation would be: (3*70 + 40)/4 = 62.5 Special Attack [vs. (3*Special Defense + Defense)/4] If using a normal Attack, the calculation would be: (70 + 3*40)/4 = 47.5 Attack [vs. (Special Defense + 3*Defense)/4] Balanced Guardian: Special Attack 50, Attack 50 If using a Special Attack, the calculation would be: (3*50 + 50)/3 = 50 Special Attack [vs. 3*Special Defense + Defense)/4] If using a normal Attack, the calculation would be: (50 + 3*50)/3 = 50 Attack [vs. (Special Defense + 3*Defense)/4] But the result of this would just be a normalization of the elemental types and an equalization of all Guardians. While this would certainly balance things, it would take away the fun. I personally also prefer fighting the Guardians, that players consider strong simply because you can kill them fast. The balanced and defensive types are much harder to kill. They also do a lot better, when not fighting against their weak counter element (which can be really useful on occasions). What I want to say with this: I like the things how they are at the moment. Guardians that have high Attack/Special Attack make good standard Guardians for the player. Other Guardians are good for NPCs and special purposes. And one last thing about Bhadington: He learns Piercing Flame at level 17 already. That's 8-9 levels before any other fire Guardian (I know... it still does very little damage due to the low Special Attack). |

Chad HannaMaybe it should be something like that but with a differant twist.
For Normal Attacks: 2(Attack+Power-Defence)+Special Attack-Special Defence=Damage For Elemental Attacks: 2(Special Attack+Power-Special Defence)+Attack-Defence=Damage This would make things more balanced for the Balanced types, but keep the Elemental types working strong. |

Benedikt AlbertNo, it wouldn't... it would weaken an elemental types elemental attack and strengthen it's normal attack while everything would stay the same for balanced types. That's because you're approach misses a division by 3 (otherwise you triple the damage) and therefore an elementals total attack would be 2/3 of its elemental potential and 1/3 of its physical potential which is less than 3/3 of its elemental potential (what would be the current state). Also power is calculated differently and does not belong here. You can read more about this here: http://forum.djartsgames.ca/?thread_id=1727
But away from the formula you suggest it's same idea that I had basically. That's why I want to refer to the end of my last post here. ^^ |

Sam EricksonI think people expected too much out of bhadington. Sure the guardian page shows him with significant stats, but it has never been an accurate depiction of any guardians stats. Some guardians just arent built to deal high damage, but can likely take more hits then the typical attacker. If all guardians were able to deal similar damage, then there would be no point in having some diverse guardians.

Askari AddisonThat might be true, but they really should just remove the stat charts. I haven't leveled mine, but he has higher stats overall than a flame, and firslash is the weakest starter. Not getting bhadington at level 1 is a disadvantage; tsktsk seems stronger, since you could've gotten him at an earlier level. Hp levels for my level 8 tsktsk is like 3 points lower than my level 10 bhadington, neither of which I've leveled.
