Maybe this has been posted and I just don't see it, so I am just going to ask my question. What am I supposed to do with all my gold? In order to buy ANYTHING you have to use gold plus something else. Unfortunately while I have an abundance of gold it takes a while to amass the other things you need. Is there something needed for game advancement that I just use gold, or am I going to have keep getting more and more gold I won't use?

It does seem that we accumulate a lot more gold than we need...after a certain level, you can cast a spell that allows you to gather more gems than gold, more mana than gold, etc. Later, when you get to the level that offers the auction house, you can bid on different things, using gold. I wish we could trade gold for gems, but the devs haven't yet seen fit to write that in...

If you are doing the blacksmith's quests for minerals, you can exchange them for different swords which improve the odds 'slightly' of getting more or less of mana, gold, gems, power, fruit or nothings.

AT some point, you seem to go from never having enough gold to having far more than you will ever use. I have, right now, over 20 mill! You do need it to buy items when a new level comes out, though, so having an excess is preferable to being stuck and not able to move on because you can't afford an item yet.

You can use gold in the auction house for more energy. That's where all of mine goes.
