Hi, I was wondering if the Devs could help me as I have run into a bug and I am now stuck. I'm level 118 and was doing the Quest - Tracking Them Down. This is the quest that's part of finding the kings kidnapped daughter.

This is the text for the quest.

Quest: Tracking Them Down

Head East to Darkened Sands and search bushed there to uncover Bandit Tracks. Examine 20 Bandit Tracks and then report to the King, who will have followed you there.


Track 20 Footsteps (0/20)

Of course I went to Darkened Sands and starting whacking bushes. I've spent days there and have finished the puzzle and gotten my little creature. The problem is in the days I've been there with all the energy I used not one single footstep has ever appeared. I have seen nothing, nothing has gone into inventory like it usually does for quests nor has anything appeared on the ground for me to inspect. I am unsure of what to do now? The kind is there with a question mark over his head but I can do nothing. Did I do something wrong? I did exactly what it said. I've had hard quests before with drops that are hard to get but 0 items with days and days of energy spent certainly can not be right.

It would be lovely if someone could help me out here, maybe I missed something but it seems pretty broken to me. Help!

No, footprints were never in Bushes and when quests say 'search' that's what they mean, they say things like 'whack until...' if they want you to whack.
Things like that and say Mining Metals and many other Quest things that are not 'inside' Bushes don't always immediately appear in an area. But the best thing you can do, and do this for nearly every Quest you ever come across, is to walk into and out of 2 squares over and over again and again dozens of times. And definitely don't stay in one square ever, even just to walk around will make certain things happen for you.
That's something you should have learned on your own long before Level 118 even if you never frequent the Forums.

No, posting it had a great effect. Now other people who might not know will now know how to read the various Quests instructions.
