Recharging the statue + Valentine's Day

Today's the day of the week I need to recharge the mana statue for another week's worth of refills. I was able to find the Heart of the Jungle water fairly readily as usual, but so far today I've burned: 1) My full energy when I woke up this morning (1600 energy) 2) All gifted energy so far (three small, one large): (960+1600) 3) The energy from the Haven statue (800) 4) All energy that's refilled so far today (about another 1000 energy) 5) And probably fifty mana whacks overall from mana drops and powered mana drops All in the Lava Pool zone, with no Lava Ruby to be seen. On a typical morning it will take me about 800-1000 energy to find one. On a typical BAD morning it'll take 1500-1600 or so. This seems to me to be bugged rather than a run of bad luck. Is it possible that the drop rates for the Valentine hearts are influencing the other quest drop rates like the lava ruby's?

Still, though, this feels like a buggy drop rate rather than an impressively bad run at the RNG - typical takes me 1000ish energy, typical bad takes 1500, but this run took me 8000, plus enough mana whacks to count as another 5000. That's a huge deviation.
132 Posts	Link to post - Posted February 14th 2012 at 12:05 PM Sarah Bye I find it difficult to find the Lava Ruby every week....and when this is a quest we have to do every week....you'd think it could be a bit easier to do. Lately I've been using the quest spell which triples (or quads...can't remember) your chance of winning quest items. Sometimes I helps....other times it doesn't seem to make much difference.

51 Posts	Link to post - Posted February 14th 2012 at 6:47 PM xandryyte - Terri The Lava Stone dropped pretty quick for me this week... either last week or the one before I used up all you said plus 2 Breads from the auction... It was tough for some reason. It varies on difficulty in getting it, I guess.

I don't often have too much trouble whacking up The Lava Ruby, but when I do it is quite frustrating for sure. I got mine this morning with one quick whack plus five individual bushes, so got real lucky with this one, but I did have my Collector's Favor Spell active at the time too. Maybe it's a bit nicer to me most of the time because I very rarely ever hit fruit with my power whacks - Not sure if that's a good trade-off or not. :)

19 Posts	Link to post - Posted February 15th 2012 at 2:48 PM Traci Kennebeck I noticed that puzzle pieces seemed to be dropping slower today, even with a spell. But the hearts seemed more rapid than the past couple of days. Just my observation.
