It would be nice if we could have 24 hours after event ends to spend any of the rewards we get. Since regardless of being on line or not you are earning the event items so if you aren't able to be on right before event ends you end up leaving event items on the table since you couldn't spend it. I think giving 24 hours after it ends would be nice, truthfully would be nice in any of the games (bw2, etc). You quit earning but you can still spend up to 24 hours after it ends.

Please tell me more about what you want to spend these on after event is removed?

Event lasts 12 days. they could just stop the tickets on the 11th day and then let you play last day without getting more tokens if that makes you feel better?

Being able to buy more of the chests to finish up the ones I got between the last time I logged in and end of the event. I don't know if people would want to stop it on the 11th day. I would think it would be just a matter of changing something in the store to indicate that you have x hours to use the tokens. I know if EBA you can get event crates and have 24 hours from the end of the event to use them, I would think having something like that would be nice, but in the store versus your inventory.

the number of people who will somehow between the last time they log in and before the end of the event have the number of tickets required to buy a chest I bet can be counted on one hand out of the tens of thousands of people who play the game.

simple solution, if you are near or over the amount to buy a chest, do so, or make it happen earlier using some warps, or schedule a login before the end even for just one second to make the purchase.

I work a full time job I can't normally get onto facebook in middle of a weekday to make the purchase. I understand what I can do to try to work around it. I'm sorry I made a suggestion in the Feature Request/Suggestions page of something that might be a nice feature. I seem to be put through the wringer for suggesting something, not saying they have to implement it just saying it would be nice if you could have a little extra time. I'm not sure if you are a developer or just a player like me but I'm sure the system keeps that in their database and it is something they could see how much is left on the table each event and determine based on that if this feature might be helpful.

i am just a player. i just happen to know how the devs think, LOL.
a better suggestion that others have made and been turned down, not just in this game but in other games by these developers is to carry forward all leftover tickets from one year to the next.
i do like that they do carry over the 'number' of tickets that one has spent towards events and thus a certain achievement every repeat event might be completed immediately on the start of a repeat event or sooner then normal.

Raymond's intent most likely wasn't to push you down for your suggestion, I think, but more to help you finding alternatives.

Your suggestion is very nice. Especially for folks west of Europe where the event ends in the middle of the day, so for quite some people the event ends during a time they can't check the game, start for a final final objective or buy a last jewel event chest.

However, I am with Raymond in general. The chance that a lot of players have collected 11,500 of the event currency just in the last 24 hours of the game might not be that high. A general rule is to spend them on event Free Plays anyway since the chance to get more jewel chests out of the free plays than to buy for more than quadruple the amount is very high.

I don't know how fast you can get through an individual event Free Plays, but my suggestion is along with Raymond. On your last evening, if you have more than 7,500 comic books or therealike, spend them on short Free Plays. Depending on your idol count/gear/formation, this can be done in less than an hour and this way you might get even more and better chests.

Which is 3pm EST after all this daylight savings stuff is sorted out, right? I'm getting another coffee at work around that time, which Lisa and others might just do :-)

Raymond - I like they carry over the spent amount etc from previous years for sure. I know in EB1 they actually carried over year to year the token count you earned for the different events, Halloween, etc and didn't make you start it all over again, you could "leave" stuff on the table and would be there the next year, though they have quit doing any of the events in eb1 which I play though not really sure why since all I had to complete was some event stuff. Wish they would give extra time to spend even on other games because there have been times in BW2 I have forgotten to go to the event area to turn in last of my items and get last of the tokens to turn in for bags or whatever and so left stuff on the table.

Andreas - I'm not a huge active player on the game, I try to get the goals done but in this most recent event I was working on a goal for another area and didn't start on even the character goals until last few days and trying to get through those goals, I got through 3 of them, left my guys churning through the 4th one when I left the house. Many a time I leave the game "up" but minimized on my home computer so I can get through levels without having to be watching it during the day.

I don't know how much I leave on the table I know when I left the house today I had almost 6K of comic books, I don't know how much I would get in the remaining hours before it closes up, I believe it has ended by now.

i am totally with lisa. It wouldnt hurt to keep the event store open for another day. For all those with "perfect timing" and jobs fitting your gaming habits - simply dont be bothered. For the rest its just an opportunity to spend remaining items in the odd chance that they amount to another chest or two ....

you can pretty safely calculate 1 per 30 seconds or 120 per hour if you leave your game running. So, without any warps, you would have needed nearly two days of idling to get a chest out of it. However, I do see your point. Events especially benefit the most active players and are a bigger challenge for casual ones.

As much as I like the carryover, too. I see a technical challenge with it. The information is stored in your savegame on CNE's server. When you play, this amount is loaded onto your local savegame. Every 'save'-process stores the updated amount of currency on the server and probably also does a sanity check to prevent cheaters from entering false values. This way the game can also calculate the event currency offline while you are away. However, they most likely use one, maybe two data fields for it (two, since events are so close together, there might be overlapping when developing them). By the way, this also means you should wait for the next 'save'-action being done when you want to reset on the 2,500 comic book mark.

So, once the event is over, the slot is cleared technically and you start from 0 during the next one. Storing all event currencies most likely wasn't intended when events started over a year ago since the repetition is a more recent innovation. And besides the amount of code which would need to be rewritten, the question might be if it is sane to store that much data given quite a lot of players don't see the next tier of events.

That's the bad news from my perspective. The good news is, CNE has quite a good track record of lifting suggestions and questions to the Players' suggestions list. And bigger as well as smaller addtions have taken place :)

Andreas - I'm not saying or asking for carryover one year to the next all I was asking for is to be able to use the store 1 more day. I was stating in EB1 they had carryover which was nice, so I know they know how to program that.

Vingummi - Sorry I don't pay close enough attention to how much I pull down a minute/sec/etc in the game, life has a tendency to get in the way. Also I sometimes since this game is so "auto-run" that I will forget to check the game in the morning an event will end and cash in my tokens I do have so today I would have lost out on 3 chests since I had that much in tokens in my pocket if I hadn't by chance checked the game and some days in the morning I don't have time.

I understand that life can get in the way. But adding a extra day to events making it 13days seem unnecessary when life can get in the way on that extra day as well.

I guess this thread is something CNE are reading and will consider or add to the list of suggestion or whatever.

Good suggestion. If someone have enough points after event time over, that would be good to have addition time for spend it on chest. Or maybe making auto purchaise. If some1 leave to holidays ot weekend rest, thay do not need care about skipping event points.

Vingummi - How is leaving the event store open one extra day, not the whole event just the store, make it 13 days for the event? Event still stops at same time as it should just you can use the tokens.

Bazilus - Auto purchase would work also for what I'm suggesting.

I can see why the devs have a hard cut off in practice rather than a soft cut off.

If they extended the amount of time you had to spend tokens in the store for chests, I don't think it would be hard to assume that players would want to spend them on an event objective or EFP instead. Then the event wouldn't really be ending at 12 days and would become 13 days.

I hardly think it would be fair to do one and not the other. Plus, they would prefer if you spent some real money instead ;)

The end time for each event is well documented. We are expected to be able to either adjust our playing style accordingly or be SOL. Many players do this by making suicide runs while online and leaving the long runs for when they are AFK.
