ihatethisfingdoes anyone find gear upgrade missions (haha said the name of the title!) useful anymore? with recipe missions, you eventually get that recipe to upgrade the gear (if not make it yourself)....which is a much shorter duration than 2 days of locked up crusaders :P
suggestion thought: turn them into some other mission (aka get rid of them) |

ihatethisfingLast Edited March 18th 2017 at 3:16 PM i dont know what you mean but you will eventually get every recipe for all your crusaders, no matter what gear you currently have for them.
edit: i guess you meant "waiting" but that doesnt explain why you want the gear missions to stay. |

TyroneI find gear upgrade missions fine. Most of what I hear in chat is complaints that there aren't gear missions for T2 crusaders. Adding a separate series with its own timer (even if on a longer timer) would be met with approval from the vast majority of all players I know.

ihatethisfingLast Edited March 18th 2017 at 10:36 PM i dont think recipes discriminate against the T2 crusaders, since some of mine have recipes....
but since gear upgrade missions have to be modified each time just so you can get the mission itself, just easier to do away with it. |

Andreasgear missions are still usefull, since gear missions guarantee a better piece of gear for a T1 event crusader contrary to the recipe missions.
And I am not so sure that you will get all recipes for all crusaders. Common, Uncommon and rare recipes very likely if you are checking the game regularly for some time, but epic recipes seem to be slightly less often than required if CNE keeps up the pace introducing new crusaders. |

BazilusLast Edited March 19th 2017 at 3:34 AM Gear upgrade missions still useful for me and be useful for long time. Also, you do not catch they in list if already have all epics.

ihatethisfingLast Edited March 19th 2017 at 1:55 PM @andreas/bazilus: recipes are practically a guaranteed better piece as well, since you wont get
duplicate recipes as stated by CNE before. eventually leaving rare/epic recipes to have no choice but to "give" you gear you are missing. im not getting as many gear upgrade missions as i used to....not sure what has changed as i definitely dont have all epics on all my event crusaders. |

Made_In_The_80sLast Edited March 19th 2017 at 5:25 PM Get rid of Gear Missions?
WHY? Once you have all T1 Event Crusader full epic, you wont get these missions any more. Gear upgrade missions are still very useful! There is no reason to remove Gear missions from the mission pool. And im happy that the Devs confirmed that there will be T2 Gear Missions :D Or are the T2 Gear Missions useless, too? :D The main reason for gear upgrade missions being useful is: EPIC CRAFTING MATERIAL Here is my suggestion: Do some math... - how much epic and common crafting Material is needed to craft all the epics that a new player will need to get all event crusaders full epic? AND - How much jeweled chests would you need to get all these Crafting materials? And a new player will have to wait for epic DUPES/epic crafting material. Im @350k idols and i dont want to miss gear upgrade missions. i usually get 1/6 epics for the T2 Crusaders by opening the eventJCs... if i get 2 or more epics, at least one is for a T1 Crusader or a dupe or both. Without the gear missions it would be really expensive to get all epics by crafting. Before doing a gear mission, i try to upgrade the gear to r/r/r. Get a free epic and save the epic crafting material for the T2 Crusaders ;) |

Teschiowhy me? I'm not a dev or a mod, just a player like you :D
And I have to say, gear missions are still quite useful. Since you should be able to get almost all rares on new event crusaders, either through chests or rare recipes, the vast majority of gear missions will give you epics. This increases the chance that epic recipe missions give you something you need, because it reduces the possible outs. And this is actually synergic with epic recipes: once you have full epics, gear missions only appear for other crusaders, this speeds up the process of getting full epics on everyone even more. Basically once all crusaders have full epics, every epic recipe mission you complete will guarantee you have epics on your event crusaders, even the most recent ones. I really don't see why the devs should eliminate something that is purely beneficial to us. The 5 crusaders that are locked for 2 days are a VERY small price to pay for what you get in return, especially if you have quite a few spare crusaders. I actually have an ongoing mission for Groklok right now, and that will give him his last epic :D |

Erika/AlynianaLast Edited March 20th 2017 at 9:40 AM Gear missions complement crafting.
It can depend on the RNG. Maybe you get the gear missions for a specific Crusader well before you get the recipe for their gear from a mission. As well, seeing all the player math that's emerging, even if a new player gets all the recipes for making rares and epics, they will still need to have the crafting materials on hand, and the epic material itself can be limiting, since you only get it from chests once Crusaders start having epic gear. So in a low material situation, you can craft the uncommons for an event Crusader, and then get their rares and epics through their gear missions, if you're running low on materials. But they definitely still help with getting the Crusaders to epic to move onto legendary items. And missions for Tier 2 Crusaders are still on the radar. |

TeschioRaymond, CNE said that you can and will get recipes for items you already have at the same level or better. But you will NOT get duplicated recipes: you will never ever drop a common or uncommon recipe for Brogon again.

Andreas@ihatethisfing
>im not getting as many gear upgrade missions as i used to....not sure what has changed as i definitely dont have all epics on all my event crusaders Not as far as I can see, my gear upgrade missions still come in at the right time. Thanks Erika for highlighting a very important point. Even if you are able to get all 12 recipes each for every crusader at some point, I sincerly hope, you aren't using any epic material to update your legendary items right now. My best guess is that it'll take about 2 or 3 months until the first suggestion comes in about trading common or uncommon material for rare or epic because it is easier spent than regained - at least until you buy jewel chests. That being said/written down: gear upgrade missions for T1-crusaders still make a lot of sense. Especially for players who didn't get a couple of thousand rare and epic crafting material each. And they will make even more sense probably once we get T2-gear into the mix. Especially so, since I think Epic recipe missions are slightly less than six per event, but time will tell :-) |
