HenryTheHelperIt usually eat a lot RAM (It uses to rise up at a 1GB) if I continue idling for long time, so I want to suggest somethings to make the game light and faster, like:
♦Disable background animation. ♦Hide coins, grey bubble crusaders buffs, dps below crusaders, ammount of gold gotten per coin, information when mouse moves one crusaders abilities/gears. I think it should be ok if at the least I could be able to desactivate background. Thanks. Henry. |

Raymondmost of us have absolutely no lag whatsoever.
they can't reduce it more then that, LOL. you have something wrong with your browser or computer or network. oh and I idle for long periods of time too and never see what you are describing. |

Raymondnope, just a player like the thousands of others that have no lag like you describe. but some of what you ask would be nice.
but to assist you, try rebooting your cable or dls or fios modem, and wifi router if you are wireless, or use an ethernet cable as a test if you are wireless. you can possibly fix your lag. and clearing flash cache can help, more so in other games by cne, i have not had to ever do that in idols. |

ihatethisfingray turned into a troll some months ago for some reason. disabling animations will always reduce lag, so yes they can reduce it more than* that.

AzaryahLast Edited February 2nd 2017 at 3:58 PM I think they've done a great job of reducing the lag, and have no complaints, but i do have to back up Henry on that thing where RAM use just goes up and up. Doesn't matter which browser - though IE crashes sooner. I've seen it get over 2GB on chrome when left an unusually long time (not sure how much higher it could go without crashing, but i did have it crash once when unintentionally left more than 12 hours).
Usually do have to reload it even on chrome at least once near the end of a run if i want to use clicking w/o lag. Right this second, i'm 4 hours from my last reset/reload and it's using .8GB (think it starts at around .2 or .3, but i haven't paid close attention to that in a while); [edit:] now at 7 hours since last reset it's using just under 1.5GB and lags when i try anything interactive with it (so need to reload before i start clicking for those final few areas after my DPSer is maxed out). After an overnight 8-9 hour run it will typically be using 1.6-1.8GB. |

HenryTheHelperIm not able to do timming games because lag spike; but I noticed when background animation doesn't charge, getting dark, crusaders/monster move really faster, getting a better progress in game. I really enjoy progressing at game than watching the animation at back so that is the point.
My pc is good with 2GB RAM, so seing costs, it's more easiest adding an option than buying a new one. Money isn't something u can throw out the window. And yes Azaryah, they improved it too much but like said ihatethisfing, it could be a bit better :) |

Raymondi guess my 2 year old laptop is better then new computers.
honestly, i am logged in forever, never need to reload to clear ram, mu task manager ram usage for the browser (chrome) i use for idols never goes up and up. But also I do absolutely nothing else in chrome, i play bw2 at the same time but that is in sea monkey browser, and i do everything else like facebook and the forums and other games at the same time in firefox. current run 17.5 hours continuous if efp am at area 896 with all my people at level 5525 and it's time to go to my mobile, bluestacks on this same computer, to get the opt in ad buffs up to 20 hours again and do a reset. it's funny, it used to be me that had lag in this game a year ago when I tried to play this game in firefox (ohm if that's what you are using then use ANYTHING else). and bw2 used to be horrible but that was my old laptop |

KameRosePersonally I don't have much of a problem with lag. I'll often leave the game up for an entire day. Once even two days with out refreshing.(and no that wasn't too terribly long ago) Like Raymond I have multiple browsers open at the same time, each one gets a specific task. However, this thread got me thinking. Instead of disabling some of the animations in the game why not run the game at a lower quality?
So I went to google and I found an extension called "FRQc - Flash Render Quality changer". Now I don't see too terribly much of an improvement here in CotLI, but it does seem markable to me. It definitely seems to help with friend whacks in BW2 though. I imagine there are other ways to help improve the game's speed, but I thought this was worth sharing. Cheers! |

TinDragon2 GB RAM is actually terrible. I don't think they even sell many mobile devices with RAM that low nowadays, much less full fledged computers. The problem is definitely mostly on your end (though the fact that the game uses Flash doesn't help).

ihatethisfing4 gb ram isnt much better either for this game (mostly cause of it being flash). might as well go with 8gb or higher these days.
