AnimenutLast Edited January 15th 2017 at 2:47 PM I just realized that unlocking an event crusader by completing a mission does not give the related "unlock ___ crusader by completing ___ objective" achievement. This means DPS is not added for unlocking an event crusader. I understand that an objective was not completed, so it makes sense that unlocking a crusader via missions lacks that benefit, HOWEVER, now that the game has begun revisiting old events and adding a second tier of objectives, this means the system for mission-obtained crusaders should be updated. Due to the crusaders already being unlocked, those objectives are now unable to be accessed when the events return. This means that those achievements are now permanently blocked off, including the DPS rewards. I can hear it now - "But Anime, that's the point. If you get a crusader through a mission, you're not allowed to benefit from the achievement of unlocking it from an objective." Okay, but then what is the point of doing the crusader missions? It would be more profitable to ignore them and wait for the crusader to become available when the related event comes back around. That way, you'll get the event crusader AND the achievement for unlocking it. I have three suggestions for fixing this...
1) Have the related achievements unlock when a crusader is earned via missions (duh), or... 2) Have the objectives that unlock a mission-obtained event crusader made available, and change the objective rewards to an event jeweled chest. 3) Have a new type of mission that unlocks the achievement at 100% success rate if the relevant crusader is sent on that mission. The same way the game will not offer the player a mission to unlock a crusader they already have, the game would offer a mission to unlock an achievement for a crusader the game recognizes you have, but do not have the achievement for. |

snowThe achievement unlocks the next time the related event occurs as that is when the achievement is active and checking.

Andreas> "what is the point of doing the crusader missions?" Since they are optional you can decide for yourself. It's not an issue with the game that you see the 1% in DPS increase as its only benefit.
With regards to your suggestions: 1) I'm not for it, since the achievement texts clearly mention "by completing the respective objective" 2) What how when and why? Do you mean, you want it the way, that you have to run through these objectives when the event comes around? Not for that, too, since it wastes time and event currency spent in better ways from my perspective. 3) So, you want to have a seperate mission for those crusaders just for an achievement? All in all, I have a counter-suggestion: Make the achievements available just for those players who have unlocked the crusaders via the event objective and follow the requirements of the achievement itself, finally. |

AnimenutAndreas...
>The "What is the point?" was rhetorical. If waiting for a returning event to get a crusader also merits the DPS buff, then it is objectively the better option. 1) Those achievements were worded that way before missions were introduced into the game. This suggestion was made to bring attention to how some elements of the game could/should change to fit the newer elements being introduced. 2) "It wastes time and event currency spent in better ways"? .......Really? Getting a jeweled event chest for 300 currency and maybe 2 hours of play is "wasted currency"? You have an odd way of viewing time and money management. 3) There are separate missions just for crusaders and gear upgrades, so why not? The crusader missions are one-time and have permanent rewards, so what is your problem with a one-time, permanent-buff mission? Counter-counter-suggestion: Your counter-suggestion would have only been relevant BEFORE events started returning. However, again, as a game changes and grows, its mechanics should change to fit those differences. Final note: Your entire post sounds like "I already have all the event crusaders and lose nothing from missions not giving achievements, so I don't care if the new mechanics are unfriendly to newcomers. Screw all the newbie pleb scum." Very elitist. VERY elitist. |

Erika/Alyniana@ Animenut: When the respective event rolls around, if you already have the Crusader from a recruit mission, the objective gets marked as completed and that awards you the associated achievement for recruiting that Crusader.

AnimenutThank you, Erika. I saw Snow say that, but wanted to wait for dev confirmation.
