RaymondLast Edited October 24th 2016 at 8:03 AM Some browsers just get to be horrible with this game, and also with crusaders of lost idols interestingly and the original bw1, over time. Clearing flash cache and browser cache eventually has no effect. Running the browser in 'safe' mode without ad-ons had no effect.
The only thing to do is to stop using that browser for these games and use some other browser simply for these games. You can still use your favorite browser for absolutely everything else, and somehow to me that is absolutely unbelievable but true. For me firefox can't be used for bw2 so i went to chrome, but after a year on that it became impossible and I use sea monkey for bw2 and love it, been this way now for 3 years. Similar firefox became absolutely impossible to use to play idols so i went to chrome and that still works. I forget the original bw1 situation for me but I use comet bird when I play that. These are my suggestions but there are many other free and easy browsers out there, for example, chrome, opera, iron, comet bird, midouri... I am a programmer/electrical engineer by profession, physicist by education, computer scientist by hobby, and was totally unable to get those existing browsers to continue to work well with these three games only, nothing else in the world ever has had any issues like these. I tried working with the Devs with some of these totally repeatable experiences but they were unable to provide any help at all. Also if you play idols then on a PC you can install a program called bluestacks that makes windows 10 look like an android, and then load the android version of the idols game. That works great for resetting and buffs but somehow if I play more then an hour or so there the game kicks itself off. Some of this may seem like rocket science but it's really simple to do, as for trying to continue using the browser you use (for these games) good luck, i gave up and did this instead. Please, Devs, chime in because this type of thing is what makes you lose players/customers. |

Maryanne Pulliam Cunninghamall of the game works very good, but when i want to get stuff out my inventory for my home or like the Halloween game it takes for ever to get things out. same thing happened to Farmville 2, so i stopped playing it. i have Chrome and firefox , tried others , but it still does same in all. was told its the game itself that's messed up and has issues. family and friends are having same problem on their computers ,so this may be something ya'll can look into for us. Thanks in advance Raymond.

AzaryahRaymond, you seem to know a lot about these things, so here is a question.
I use firefox for my normal web-browsing, chrome for my watching of AcornTV, and IE for playing CotLI. The only consistent issue i have with the game is that after a while, sometimes several hours, somtimes only one or two, IE is using so much memory that eventually i can't open the mission page, or store page, or use the level all button, and so forth - it will either just not do what i ask, or freeze up when trying to dismiss the missions page and the like. Sometimes flash will crash (though not often), sometimes opening tabs to the forums will kill flash (when it is in this state of using enormous memory). Simple fix to reload every couple hours, buy i'm wondering if this is strictly an IE thing or it would be similar with other browsers - as i've only tested the three mentioned and it seemed about the same on them. Thanks. |

RaymondSimple answer, only answer I can suggest is to not use IE, p.s. microsoft sucks. Somehow there appears to be a memory leak in that for you.
My setup described above I can leave bw2 open in sea monkey, bw1 open in comet bird and idols open in chrome, and regular browsing in firefox, for days on end. But that's not exactly true, I close idols to go on mobile to do a reset whenever. And I hardly ever play bw1. And I close bw2 daily sometimes, or at least ask the town crier the latest news to maintain the daily loyalty streak. Ask the Devs this and they will say that absolutely none of this can be true, their games are perfect and perfectly programmed, they use flash totally correctly in every one of the hundreds of thousands of lines of code, and that they can't ever at all never ever replicate any of the things that any of us describe in this manner. |

Raymondso try some other browser other then IE.
but it could be that you have corrupt flash, clear it using info in the following http://forum.codenameentertainment.com/?thread_id=12010 or possibly uninstall flash (windows control panel) and reinstall current version |

Erika/AlynianaWe acknowledge there is lag inherent in using Flash, and the code isn't perfect.
@ Maryanne: If you routinely clear your cache and don't allow the game to save graphics, the inventory will lag because it is downloading/looking for all the graphics for the items you keep stored in your inventory and haven't seen lately. |

AzaryahThanks Raymond. Will keep experimenting (i'd never heard of those other engines til you mentioned them). Looks like the memory usage ramps up similarly with Chrome - but will have to wait and see if it does so quite as fast or has the same lock-up problems later on. Regardless, already noted one BIG advantage on Chrome - when clicking at the end a run, the clicks don't lag like on IE; i can actually aim them and use an ability immediately instead of waiting 30 seconds for the computer to catch up. That change alone is worth using it instead of IE.

Raymondomg, you were actually living with a click lag like that of more then 2 or 3 seconds, that was what prompted me in the past to change. and actually to let it get to half a minute, I can't imagine it

AzaryahI never actually timed it, but i could clear a whole area with click-damage AFTER i stopped clicking - so guess about 20-30 seconds. The fact that i just started buying Massive Criticals and Sniper really plays up the advantage of not having the clicks lag - i had avoided Sniper previously, precisely because i knew that i'd often not be able to aim aim properly.
