I know updates are coming soon but was wondering if there is something I am missing. Been in 3 caves, tangled forest, southern woods, deep woods, shady vale, new haven, fairgrounds, darkened woods (?) and all are completed.

You can open several treasure chests every day. Have you been to your ranch yet? You can grow crops there that when harvested provide either money or carrots (which provide 100 life points during a battle). **** CORRECTION*** That should read 50 life points during a battle. Hopefully, the devs are close to releasing the upgrade but this is a brand new game so we want them to take their time with the update so that it is right when they release it (you know what they say; Haste makes waste).

You can catch up to 11 different Guardians right now and you can work on leveling them up, good idea to have them all as close to level 20 as possible before the update is released.
