Complex missions system

I want missions system to be complex.
1. There is no talents for missions. It is not good. Talents could increase number of crusaders that can start mission, for example.
2. Why not to make some upgrades for missions depends on completed ones count? Some mission experience points. Some cool missions could be accessible after big missions count.
3. I want (may be epic) missions for just 1 crusader. I think it can give some gear to this crusader, may be not better then rare.

And not about mission. It is too hard to get gear for event crusaders after event. Could it be some exchange from silver chest to event silver chest? And not only silver ones?

Erika has always stated that missions are an extra, not the focus of the game, and I agree with that. Therefore, I am perfectly fine with the fact that gear upgrading missions are rare (and it's a way to reward those player that took part in the events).

What I do agree with you about is that some talents for missions would be nice. I don't agree with your suggestion, though, since most missions will have a 100% success chance anyway, adding another slot just makes people waste crusaders for nothing (unless they also make it so that you can start a mission without the maximim number of crusaders, which is unlikely). I'd like some talents along the lines of reducing mission duration, reducing the internal (and non-visible) cooldown for epic missions, and even adding an option to discard a mission you don't want to do (maybe with a cooldown to prevent abuses).

Well, it is just extra, agree. But for me it is the only way to get event crusaders that was enabled before I start to play. And gear for them, of course. Now I have one event crusader with all empty slots - I don't like that. At least uncommon gear for her would be great.

With some very small exceptions, having uncommon gear on an event crusader makes him/her unusable. In order to be competitive with "classic" crusaders, event ones need rare gear at the very least. The missions allow you to get event crusaders (a couple of months ago that wasn't even possible) and improve their gear, but they are not meant to make it easy (or fast) to get all epics on them. Missions are more of a way for people who already have those crusaders to improve their gear and make them useful.

Balancing things is not easy. If you make gear upgrading missions more frequent, you would be able to get decent gear on event crusaders, but this will also mean that people who already unlocked those crusaders during the event would end up with epics all around...

You are talking about old players, but what about new ones? They (and me too) can't get serious help from event crusaders just because event was long ago before they start. And now in missions I can't choose crusader whose gear would be upgraded.

"Old players" actually took part in the events, why should they be at the same level of people who didn't?

The devs have never excluded (nor confirmed, though) that past events could be repeated, maybe you would get a chance to earn gear like old players did. But demanding that you should be able to fill an event crusaders with rare/epic items in a short period of time makes no sense.

BTW, the game works perfectly fine without any event crusader, they are an extra, not mandatory. Since the game has no PvP component, I really don't see the problem...

my formations only use a few event crusaders, santa cause it has 2 epics and a gold epic. pete, siri, and leprechaun. i do not use anyone else ever as far as i can remember except perhaps the monkey if that's a better formation fit then the leprechaun.
the game is perfectly playable with only the standard 20 crusaders, that's how it was before October last year, LOL.
