TeschioRoboturkey does that as well, this doesn't make it "magical".
I am completely in favor of expanding the pool of magical crusaders (since they happen to appear a lot on missions, and there is very few of them), but this should be done on more solid ground than "princess unlocks firestorm". Flavor-wise, princesses are not exactly renowned for casting spells... |

Thanatos HadesI have to agree with Teschio on this one. Although a princess could be a magician/princess they are NOT widely known as magic users. Now Lions on the other hand are very well known as kings of the jungle and I stand by my opinion the lion should be royal.

FingerDemonPrincess is all about fire magic;
Ignite, Char, Conflagrate, Incinerate, Fire Storm, Burn Baby Burn!, Flame Cape, Blaze Cape, Inferno Cape, Wildfire Cape, Tinder-Spark Gloves, Four-Burner Gloves, Blazing Fury Gauntlets, Phoenix Feather Flame Gloves, Molten Gloves of Annihilation I think zaq is right about this one |

thedudeThe fact that she has fire magic items does not make her magical. Dudley Dursley could have used his cousin's invisibilty cloak; that doesn't make him a wizard.
Also, Ignite's descriptor text reads, "The Princess lights a fire under the other party memebers... literally." That implies to me that she is a pyromaniac, not that she is magical. |

AzamagonI'm with Zaq. Somehow it feels more like she is a direct magic-user than just being a "physical" pyromaniac and/or a magic-item user
As to try and discuss the counterarguements: Roboturkey not casting it magically (as he uses high-tech), doesn't mean that the Princess can't use it in a magical way. It's like Thunder King vs Snowman: One might cast the Storm Rider magically (TK), while the other does it more "naturally" (or rather, Supernaturally, for Snowman). While you could say she is using magical gear (which indeed wouldn't make her a mage), she DOES cast a Firestorm spell. I feel that the Firestorm ability (when used by the Princess) not being a spell but rather her burning the environment or something, is VERY unlikely. And while wielding magical gear might not be a grounds for being a mage, ALL her gear seem like rather powerful magical gear, something a non-mage probably couldn't wield with ease. And on what ground couldn't a Princess also be a magician? Just because it is not a common thing heard of, doesn't mean it's not a possibility. Further this by the fact that several of her skills have references to Lina from Dota(2), who is considered both a princess and a mage! Furthermore: If it is because she is royal, well Thunder King is both a royal and a magician, so it's not like those two things are mutually exclusive in CotLI either. As for Ignite's description being about literally lighting a fire under the other party members, does it say she does it normally or magically? Nope. Thus, that doesn't exclude her being a mage either. All these things said, we can't know for certain wether she is a mage or not, only the Devs could truly answer that. But, both from my personal opinion of things (and from the need of having more magical characters to use in Missions) I'd consider her a Magical Crusader I'd really like to discuss more about the Mission tags, so please check this thread: http://forum.codenameentertainment.com/?thread_id=12552 |

Thanatos HadesLast Edited June 13th 2016 at 8:40 AM "While you could say she is using magical gear (which indeed wouldn't make her a mage),"
Actually MANY mages, sorcerers,and other magical beings use magic gear. What the hell do you think a wand or a staff is??? While powerful ones can just wave their hands about like a Jedi some do require gear yet you still call them mages or whatever they are. In the end it doesn't matter anyway since it seems the dev. team will ignore logic if the character would be deemed to OP witch is utter BS. Unless I am mistaken but from what I have read that seems to be the case. "Larry isn't human, BUT he breaks Emo's Lone Wolf skill. This is intentional since he is already pretty powerful, the devs have stated this multiple times." Yup. Just stupid. The game isn't even pvp so it matters even less. If they actually did SOMEHOW make it pvp then logically they should just nerf/weaken the ability that makes it OP. |

Azamagon@Thanatos - Good point about the gear!
And yeah, it's a little worrying that the devs have that kind of mindset in regards to balance. While, so far, it's the only thing they have been REALLY illogical about, it sure rings a little warning bell nontheless, because they might do similar odd justifications in the future. |
