I really like the idea of getting new crusaders and gear through missions.
But as many peaople have mentioned already most event crusaders cannot really be used ingame if they don't have any gear at all.

2 Suggestions to improve this at least a little:

1) newly recruited crusaders automaticaly have at least common gear already equipped once you unlock them

2) (which I'd prefer) Change the rarity of gear missions to match the rarity of the equipment. So if you are missing common gear on event crusaders make it a common/ rare quest, for rare gear = rare quest and for epic gear = epic quests. Maybe with an additional hidden cooldown of a few days to make common/rare gear missions not a daily occurance

1) Why should you get free gear? The players that was playing in the event didn't get anything free.

They have made missions this way on purpose, really slow. Gameplay is suppose to be much better way of getting crusaders/gear.

sure they got free gear.....the mission objectives awarded 2 event jeweled chests and free play always gave an event chest that had a good chance to be upgraded to an event jeweled chest.

alright, I agree that getting a crusaders with gear on it doesn't seem 100% fair to those who worked or paied for it during the event.

But I still believe the 2nd idea would be a good change for missions

The second idea could be fine, except it's not viable. For the simple reason that gear upgrading missions are NOT tied to a particular gear slot. Once you complete the mission, the game randomly selects one slot (excluding those that already have epic or golden epic gear), and upgrades it. So, you do not know the rarity of the stuff you get until AFTER you complete the mission. Suppose you have one empty slot, one rare item and one epic one: which rarity would the relevant mission be? Common or epic?

BTW, even without this problem, I don't see a reason why it should be easy to get max gear on an event crusader. The missions are just a BONUS, a way to give event crusaders and gear to people who have not played the events, but this doesn't mean they should be able to do it QUICKLY. It may take a year to get good gear on an event crusader, and I think this is perfectly fine. It's a way to reward people that actually played the events.

i wasnt saying they didnt work for it...though it is an idle game and not much work has to be done to reset at 100 with very few idols....just saying that it was indeed free.
