Mateusz TreasureHi!
Again, I must ask about database :) (I'm database fan :D ) As far as I know, there are 3 ways to get info about Guardians: "You have heard about this Guardian" "You have seen this Guardian" "You have this Guardian" (sorry if there is any mistake - I don't remember how it is exactly) When I see (catch) a Guardian, info from option 1, 2 (1, 2, 3) is added to database. So my question is - Is first option (hear about Guardian) available in game? If yes - it doesn't work (maybe bug) :) One character in The New Haven Fairgrounds said "Do you like my Guardian? It's a Tusky, a water type!" I think, speaking to him should unlock at least name of Tusky (#43) in database. |

Benedikt AlbertLast Edited February 1st 2012 at 10:22 AM I have a question and a suggestion regarding the database, too.
Some time ago you could see "evolves from" and "evolves into" data without owning a Guardian. Just like that, you knew the description and the type of that Guardian, too. Now you only get the picture and the name, when you don't own it. That's better than before, but still kind of weird in my opinion. I suggest the following: ------------------------ Heard of a Guardian: - unlocks the name - unlocks the type - unlocks the description - unlocks "evolves from" and "evolves into" pictures - the picture only unlocks, if you have seen the corresponding Guardian already Seen a Guardian: - unlocks the picture - unlocks everything above Own a Guardian: - unlocks the stats - unlocks everything above ------------------------ This way, there is a lot more to discover, because you don't see a Guardians evolved form, before it evolves or you have already seen the evolved form. Also you have to catch the Guardians, before knowing about their stats. On the other hand you get a pretty complete database, just by seeing the Guardians (you only miss the stats then). These things make the database much more rewarding in my opinion. Okay, now the question... do you have to capture every Guardian (and evolve it) to complete your database (I hope the answer is yes)? Also I'd like to know, if database progress is lost, when you sell a Guardian (I hope, it is not)? |

David Whittaker (CNE Dev)Hi Benedikt,
To complete the database you do have to collect each guardian, this means capture or evolving. Selling a guardian does not cause loss of progress in the database. |

Mateusz TreasureLast Edited February 1st 2012 at 10:52 AM Hi David
You missed my first post... Please, read and answer :) About Benedikt suggestion - i had similiar thoughts, but I will change some things: Heard of a Guardian (when some characters in game told you Guardian name): - unlocks the name - unlocks the type Seen a Guardian: - unlocks the picture - unlocks everything above Own a Guardian: - unlocks the description - unlocks "evolves from" and "evolves into" pictures - unlocks the stats - unlocks everything above Of course it wouldn't be so challenging, if we can get almost all info in database by hearing about Guardian. Catching/evolving should give us the biggest reward. As I said in first post - "Hearing about Guardian" doesn't seems to work yet :( |

David Whittaker (CNE Dev)Hi Mateusz,
We will take another pass at the database in the near future. Heard of is probably not working correctly in most places. |
