The ability to turn off notifications

I am loving the game so far. It is refreshing to play an idler where formation matters and can change based on acquired gear.

Still learning the finer points of the game I don't have much in the way of technical suggestions/constructive criticisms. However, I would appreciate the ability to turn off notifications. I know when I get a new chest usually, and even when I don't know, I would like the ability to turn off the notification over the tab that says there is something new for me to look at. Also, separately, I would like to turn off the "you unlocked this new crusader" notification. After the first time or two through the game, I know what I am looking for. It is just a "nice to have" thing.

Thanks in advance for your consideration.

FYI, you can click on the little balloon that says new chest to make it go away, no need to open up the chest screen. Also, if you have any menu open when you kill a boss, the chest notification doesn't happen, and it's instantly picked up. That said, I would still love to turn off notifications or at least have a place to click to get rid of the stars on the crusader tab. Having to go through all the crusaders (especially when some are hidden under their alts) to find who got the EP is really annoying, especially if you have to actually switch them out and you're using someone else in that bench slot.

Smash, awesome info. I thought I had to open the chest view to get rid of the notification. But I also don't like the stars on everything. I saw a post about notifications further down. Hopefully one of these will be seen by Devs and it will go in the bucket for when they can get to "nice to haves" versus actual game fixes since this is in Beta and I am sure most of the time is spent on bugs.

smash you can almost instantly get rid of the stars by reloading the game, that being said I love all these ideas.
p.s. the menu open trick only worl=ks if you have something set right, not logged in right now but it's the other thing next to auto advance, i believe it must be off for the chests to open instantly if a menu is open at the right moment.

as for this being 'beta' it might remain beta forever. Amicus in Bushwhacker2 is still 'beta' after something like 2.5 years

reloading the game to get rid of stars is a huge pain. It takes a significant amount of time and you don't progress while doing it. Also, I have no clue what you're talking about re: chest trick. Any open menu during a chest drop will make it just put a little box in the top right corner saying +1 silver chest (or JC) and move on, no stupid 20 seconds of pointless broken animations, which count against buff and ability time btw

you are incorrect, when you reload the game you progress. try it. exit your browser, do not just hibernate your computer. come back in 1 minute or 100 minutes and hen you come back and log in it will tell you (a) how much gold you got while away and (b) how long you were away for (it has for ALL other events except this one also told you (c) how many event tokens you got while away which is actually simply the number of minutes away times 2).

it takes me under 10 seconds to exit the browser, re open a browser, click my facebook bookmark, and click the idols game and get in to play again. i guess i am spoiled by having a good computer. perhaps 10 seconds is much if you are in the middle of a buff or something, but there's no need to immediately clear the annoying 'new chest' notification but instead wait till you are not in a buff and can delay a few seconds.

i don't know what you mean about your not understanding the chest trick, something you originally brought up but perhaps called differently and again describe exactly how it works. that does save many seconds of wasted time where buffs and such might be important.

You get gold, XP, and event tickets, but you stop getting quest items, so you aren't progressing, and refreshing can take sometimes up to a min for me, from hitting the button to being in the game again, especially if AG makes me log in again. The point isn't really that it takes too long though, the point is that any amount of time is too long to get rid of stupid notifications. I'd also love to get rid of the button you have to click to make the game start loading, though there might be an actual reason we need that. Basically, I don't want to deal with annoying pauses and animations and such that do nothing but take away from the game. Think about how much time you've spent on picking up chests. It may not seem like a lot each time, but at say, 5 seconds per chest (which I think might be low) times my >4500 silver chests, that means I've spent over 6 hours and 15 minutes just picking up chests.
