I have been thinking about the power difference between new characters and old characters with many event champions like turkey/Siri etc. It's pretty large. With Larry added in, the gold find difference is going to be huge as well.

Not that long ago, the original characters got upgraded to make up for this somewhat. In the process some of the event characters became far less useful because of this. Pam, who was very high dps compared to the rest due to having 400% epic dps items, because nothing special (I like supporting the game, but I bought a ton of event chests to get both of her epic dps items, only to have everyone suddenly get 400% ones fairly soon afterwards.)

I am not complaining about that, and over all the change was good, but I think avoiding such changes in the future would make everyone happier. One way to do this is to allow anyone to get event characters even after the events are over, but requiring them to pay for them either with rubbies, or kreds.

First for the kreds. I suggest offering an event pack, for each event, which you can buy for say 50 kreds. This pack gives you both of the event characters AND the golden epic that came with buying event chests during the event. I would also suggest allowing event jeweled chests to be bought at any time, even after events are over, so players can always have a chance to upgrade their event characters with kreds if they want. That would work for ALL players and would solve many problems.

Meanwhile for those who can't spend kreds for whatever reason, offer a way to get event characters with rubies as well. Instead of charging 100 rubies for an event chest, offer them for 200 rubies, again at any time. This means you can always upgrade your event characters, it's just more expensive to do so then for original characters. I'd also suggest offering SILVER event chests for just 50 rubbies. It's a better deal to go for the jeweled ones, but this could help you get a last equipment slot filled etc!! Finally, if they don't have kreds, how do they get the event characters in the first place? Offer event characters at a price of 1000 rubies each. So if you miss an event, you can just save up 1000 rubies and get an event character at any time.

Adding that to the game would give a way for new characters to get important event characters fairly fast....and would help prevent having to upgrade original characters to make them relevant. Allowing all players to buy jeweled event chests (both with rubbies or kreds) would allow players to upgrade their event characters at will. I think it would help the game a ton to make these changes or ones similar to them.
