NoOneOnEarthLast Edited March 13th 2016 at 6:38 AM So while playing, I contemplated about the development of this game, and then realised that only 2 or 3 more events and each crusader will have a counterpart (not that I'm not aware each crusader will have more than one swappable crusader in time to come). And then I thought of Holiday Hoopla, especially the reason why The Bush Whacker (BW) and Nate Dragon are allowed in: there won't be any counterparts for these two crusaders. I can understand why, for BW's case.
Having said that, I started thinking of ideas for a possible counterpart of the Bush Whacker, and suddenly the annual Jr. BW event from BW2 came to mind. I thought it would be cool that this event come to Crusaders too. Yeah, I'm also aware that Crusaders is trying to deviate away from the BW2 lore as a standalone game, but the initial crusaders have their origins there so, I think one event linking the game back to the BW2 world would be cool. And yes, Jr. BW event in Crusaders would introduce crusaders of which one of them will swap with BW. The challenge arises, however, when we start to think of possible traits that make a character appropriate to be BW's counterpart. I did, however, think of one. Jeff the Junior Bush Whacker Swaps with BW Base CLK: 1 Level 5 upgrade: Recognition ("I'm finally a qualified Bush Whacker! If only there are bushes to whack now.") CLK +300% Level 10 upgrade: Hard-hit ("The Bush Whacker always told me I whacked bushes too hard, but I think there's nothing wrong with that if you're whacking monsters now.") Clicks have 25% chance to deal a 30% slow to the target and other monsters that came along in the same wave. Slow lasts 5 seconds and multiple instances cannot stack. Level 25 upgrade: Automatic Sword (Well, this should rest your fingers... I mean elbows for a bit.) Unlocks Click-o-rama. Level 50 upgrade: Electrifying Clicks ("The Bush Whacker never told me swords make awesome lightning rods too!") Clicks have 10% chance to cast a lightning bolt that bounces to a maximum of 2 other random monsters. The first strike deals damage equivalent to the CLK dealt at that click, but each bounce deals 30% less damage than the previous one. Level 75 upgrade: Flaming Clicks ("The Princess told me not to tell the Bush Whacker about this!") Clicks have 10% chance to singe the target, dealing damage equivalent to 5% of the target's max HP per second for 3 seconds. Cannot stack but the duration can be refreshed. (Note that Hard-hit, Electrifying Clicks and Flaming Clicks cannot simultaneously trigger in one click, but each of these skills can simultaneously trigger with critical clicks.) Level 100 upgrade: Critical Strength ("Help! I can't control these critical clicks!") When a critical click triggers, there is a 5% chance that that click will deal damage equivalent to 100% of your DPS to all monsters on screen. This damage is also dealt to the main target, adding to the critical click damage. Level 125 upgrade: Critical Swordplay (Got a fail trying to emulate the Bush Whacker's Swordplay, but he still went with it.) Increases the base click damage of all critical clicks by 75% of your current DPS. All upgrades to the effects of Swordplay will also upgrade the effect of this skill. Level 200 upgrade: Click Wars (The first of its kind in this world.) CLK x4 per 25 levels Gear: Increases critical click chance (2%, 4%, 6%, 10%) - Cardboard Sword ("Wait.... isn't this the one I used in my trainings?") - Bush Whacking Sword (It's perfect for bush whacking, alright.) - Nate Dragon's Sword ("Gives me a lot of bragging rights!") - The Bush Whacker's Sword (The one, the only.) Increases chances of Hard-hit, Electrifying Clicks, Flaming Clicks and Critical Strength (2%, 4%, 6%, 10%) - Cardboard Bush (Whacked these during trainings.) - Ordinary Bush (Commonly found in all bushes in Bushwhackia.) - Fancy Bush ("Can't believe I'm bringing what I usually whacked as my good-luck charm now.") - Potted Bush (Maybe you should put this in your ranch instead.) Increases the effect of the Critical Strength ability (20%, 40%, 60%, 100%) - Cardboard Gem (From the cardboard bushes during trainings.) - Cardboard Coin ("Wonder if I could get away paying with these.") - Cardboard Gold Bar ("Who's the genius that spent his time making these rather than finding real ones in real bushes?") - Cardboard Diamond ("You gotta admit, it's still pretty dope to be able to whack this from cardboard bushes.") Thoughts? |

TeschioAn alternative crusader for the Bush Whacker is needed, and it should be click-based, but it MUST have Swordplay, or some alternative version of it (like damage from distant crusaders, not adjacient one) to be of any use.
First, many other crusaders have skills that interact only with Swordplay. Second, 99.999% (add a few more 9s) of click damage comes from Swordplay, so without that skill things like Critical Hits become absolutely meaningless. I like some of the chanche-based abilities you suggest (actually, I like all of them), but with no Swordplay the click damage would be so minimal that entire features of the game become useless (click damage trinkets, skills and buffs that increase crit chance/crit multiplier, etc.) |

Smash10101This seems to really require a high crit chance to do any meaningful amount of damage, since his swordplay only works on crits.
