I had an idea for how to get event equipment outside of event times, and I would like to see what everybody thinks about it. You could sacrifice say 1000 idols (or spend US$2.00) to unlock a crusade from any event for 2 hours, provided you already have both crusaders from that event. Sacrificed idols are different from spent idols in that they are gone and no longer contribute to anything, not even the idol collection achievements.

The crusade could either be a simple "reach area 250" or, if they want to make it more interesting, "reach area 100" with the target going up 50 areas every time you run it in that unlock. It would have a reward just like event free plays, a definite event chest with the possibility of it becoming a jeweled event chest.

I believe that this solution would benefit both the users and the developers, and would keep the event loot special. Of course, the devs have said that they are planning on something to let us accumulate idols faster; if they implement that, the idol cost would have to be adjusted accordingly.

I would love to hear what everybody thinks of this. And if the Devs want to use it, they are free to do so with no claim by me.

No, not for A silver chest. For as many silver chests as you can get in 2 hours. That would be at least three, probably four or five.
