I think that any and all memes should be taken out.
We play this game to see the personality and ingenuity of the development team. We've already seen skyrim jokes and the particular one that was used really doesn't exemplify the character's insanity or make coherent sense to the situation. It takes us out of the world you've created.


So, getting to the point-- I have an idea for the hermit's flavor text. Since the content of the later areas (Emperor pandaclaw, bubble men, etc) is honestly pretty crazy. You could have him foreshadow some of it, like he has dreams about the future that nobody believes.

Like this;
"Nightmare"
"There's no such thing as a panda with crab claws. Just impossible...Right?"

He could become progressively more agitated in the flavor text.

"Prophetic vision"
"Yes-- YES! I KNEW THE YETI WAS REAL! IT SPOKE TO ME! MY DREAMS ARE REAL!"

My point is, we want to see what you guys can do. Memes aren't really a show of effort. It feels, all due respect, lazy.
I mean, pretty much everything else is really cool. We just don't need memes.
