Old event chests
6 Posts	Link to post - Posted January 9th 2016 at 9:19 AM Dingle Dong I would like to see old event chests available in the shop or some other trading format. I would like to be able to trade 2 regular chest, this could be done with silver or jeweled chests, for 1 event chest of my choice. This way I am still paying a higher price for the chests, and I have the choice to get only the chests that I want or need. You can post which crusaders gear is in the chests so people without the crusaders know they would be getting a chest for a crusader they don't have, or you could make it so the only chests available are for crusaders you have unlocked.

Sure, there is one situation and player combination that will net them more money in some slow fashion as time went on. However, I'm going to guess that most of their money comes from event chests. If all players have to do is save up their regular jeweled chests to swap for event chests, you're turning a lot of sometimes spenders into non-spenders. It's just a net loss, and a big one. I don't work there, I don't see their metrics - this is just my guess. But I've dabbled long enough to know that these are some of the choices that designers/developers have to make from time to time. There are real reasons why they don't do something that seems all upside to the player. If the exchange rate was higher, it wouldn't be appealing enough for the sometimes spenders to not still spend. There's a sweet spot for it.

Because even an OP character would end up being useless in comparison to a weak character which gets lots of enchants.
