what if a silver chest dropped once per run on every stage ?
jewel upgrades still only happen on boss stages . maybe add a mercy counter for boss clear flags to grant jewels 100=j . like diablo has legend mercy find .

my thought is that other games have some sort of reward for each stage you complete . while here we grind for gold and hope in the dark for a chest drop on a boss . then hope for decent drops in the chest .
