SallySparrow4Father Time. His skill could boost the spawn rate, thus speeding up the game.

SadKitchenLast Edited December 23rd 2015 at 8:45 AM I have one as well. And the best part is he continues the robo centric nature of RoboTurkey and RoboSanta.
RoboRocket Switches with Nate Dragon Starting DPS: 3.2t Level 10 upgrade: Firecracker - +100% DPS Level 25 upgrade: Roman Candle - +100% DPS Level 50 upgrade: Short Fuse - +150% DPS Level 75 upgrade: Grenade Belt - +15% DPS to all Level 100 upgrade: Carpet Bombing - 30% of RoboRocket's DPS dealt to all enemies on screen Level 150 upgrade: Nuclear Explosion - Reset the world Level 200 upgrade: MEP [Most Explosive Player] - level 200 skill. Gear: Gun Powder - 25%, 50%, 100%, 200% Self DPS boost Sleek Tubing - 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% all DPS boost Bomb - 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% increase to Carpet Bombing ability. -SadKitchen |

TeschioSadKitchen, I'm sorry to say that crusader would be useless. Only cheap crusaders are a good DPS source, certainly not Nate or equivalent, no matter what skills they have. In this game, everything except Jim, Hermit or WW is there to buff one of those three. Nate will still be better than the one you suggested because of his 2 +10% DPS to all skills. Consider that in basic triangle formation you shouldn't even use any crusader after Panda... and that is just for his gold boost, otherwise the last crusaders would be Momma!

SadKitchenI understand the thought process, but I am currently using frosty over my Jim and WW (my hermit has the worst gear so he isn't an option) Your theory may hold up for players with 100+ EP per character, but for us players with less than 10 it all really depends on their buffs and their gear.

TeschioAre you sure about that? I am pretty confident that hermit with crappy gear is still much better than frosty with all epics.
Anyway, I think the developers shouldn't introduce a DPS crusaders that is only half-decent for the first 1-2 weeks of play... |

SadKitchenLast Edited December 24th 2015 at 8:45 PM I can give him a try. I'll let you know the results. I do know that I was using Jim and snowman with similar (1 less) EP and both with all rare gear (except jim has one epic) puts snowman firmly in the lead (Also this is my first event so I am not using roboturkey who NEVER should be paired with snowman...)

SadKitchenLast Edited December 24th 2015 at 9:21 PM Here is my numbers. (Comparing similarish costs in levels at 25 level increments as those are all that really matter)
Level 625 snowman - 741n to level up 1 level - party dps 194n Level 1000 hermit - 2.41d to level up 1 level - party dps 521n Level 650 snowman - 4.02d to level up 1 level - party dps 808n Level 1025 hermit - 13.1d to level up 1 level - party dps 2.14d And my assessment: Unlike previously stated Hermit isn't worse than frosty, he just ins't better either. Also my Jim and WW have fared similarly (don't have the patience to level them all up + I use a non-chilling power frosty in my WW formation so I can't truly compare him in the list.) -SadKitchen |

SadKitchenDid some math crunching on RoboRocket and to make him viable (minus EP issues. I do not know how to fix EP of event crusaders being too low to make them viable for people who have been playing for a long time) the following changes need to be implemented.
RoboRocket Switches with Nate Dragon Starting DPS: 6.4t [Raised to match Nate's starting DPS] Level 10 upgrade: Firecracker - +150% DPS [Raised to coincide more with a DPS crusader] Level 25 upgrade: Roman Candle - +150% DPS [Raised to coincide more with a DPS crusader] Level 50 upgrade: Short Fuse - +200% DPS [Raised to coincide more with a DPS crusader] Level 75 upgrade: Grenade Belt - +200% DPS [Changed to self buff to coincide more with a DPS crusader] Level 100 upgrade: Carpet Bombing - 30% of RoboRocket's DPS dealt to all enemies on screen Level 150 upgrade: Nuclear Explosion - Reset the world Level 200 upgrade: MEP [Most Explosive Player] - level 200 skill. Gear: Gun Powder - 25%, 50%, 100%, 200% Self DPS boost Sleek Tubing - 25%, 50%, 100%, 200% Self DPS boost [Changed to coincide more with a DPS crusader] Bomb - 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% increase to Carpet Bombing ability. This puts his DPS at about Sarah, the Collector's levels (at equal level costs.) Throw in his ability of damaging all the enemies on the screen up to 60% of his DPS and potentially you have something very scary for the bad-guys. What do you all think? -SadKitchen |

SadKitchenI have also been thinking about Father Time, originally posted by SallySparrow4 and have fleshed out the crusader a bit
Father Time Switches with King Reginald IV Starting DPS: 24B Level 10 upgrade: Fatherly Figure - +10% DPS all Level 25 upgrade: Things to do - +50% enemy spawn speed Level 50 upgrade: Wait a Moment - King's Command Level 75 upgrade: Forgot the Fabric Softener - Increases spawn speed to +75% Level 100 upgrade: Better in Every Way - +10% DPS all Level 125 upgrade: Plans for Next Friday - Increases spawn speed to +100% Level 200 upgrade: It Is Time - level 200 skill. Gear: Sands of Time - 15, 30%, 45%, 60% Spawn speed boost Staff - 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% all DPS boost Robe - 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% reduction to ability cool down (I couldn't think of a name for the better in every way upgrade, but no one will use King Reginald IV ever again if this crusader was made so I called it that. :D) Let me know what you think. -SadKitchen |

SallySparrow4Spawn speed isn't something that should come automatically, in my opinion. New players wouldn't be able to use it, and it would be a negative factor if you were trying to push an objective. A 50% spawn rate, maybe, but nothing higher than that. I saw it more as skill (i.e. Click-O-Rama or Magnify).

thedudeThe problem with a spawn speed boost ability is that the boost is most useful earlier, but can become a liability in the late game. With the way SadKitchen has it set up, you CAN'T have the boosts in the very early stages, simply because of the cost of purchasing the upgrades, but once you purchase them the only way to reduce them is to simply pull Father Time and drop them down to zero.
Baring the ability to turn abilities back off, I feel it would be a better set up if the level ten ability increased spawn speed by 200%, then you had three more abilities later that each reduced the effect by 50 percentage points. (IE 200% -> 150% -> 100% -> 50%) This would allow players to modulate the rate of incoming, allowing people to advance at their best rate. |

SadKitchenLast Edited December 27th 2015 at 7:49 PM All good things. All good things.
@SallySparrow4 the reason that I did it the way I did is that currently all replacement crusaders have the same Activatable Abilities as their counterparts. @thedude that is an inventive way to solve the problem. Another way is to make the upgrades put a adjustable slider on the screen where the top of the slider is whatever maximum speed is and the lowest is normal (or even slower, now that is an idea for pushing a couple extra levels) and the player could choose how fast the baddies spawn. @Raymond Jerome if I am not mistaken each event will only take 1/2 the month so for the other 1/2 you can do non event objectives. I don't think they need to give rubies for the event objectives but maybe raise the chance to get jeweled event chests through free play to something higher than the 10ish percent it feels like it is at (I could be guessing that percent really high or low, but that is how it feels to me). Maybe put it at 25% or even put it as every 4th free run always gives you a jeweled event chest and the other 3 always gave you a silver event chest. Thanks for all the discussion. :D (And thank you SallySparrow4 for the great topic. -SadKitchen |

NoOneOnEarthLast Edited December 28th 2015 at 7:32 AM I do have a funny idea here.....
Auld Lang Syne Switches with Sasha. 5: Should all acquaintance..... (What? You guys forgot about me already?) DPS +100% 10: Post-Christmas Hype (We wish you a Merry Christmas..... and here I am!) DPS +150% 25: A Cup of Kindness (Take one, y'all! And let's start being kind and caring towards the others.) If any crusader in the formation takes damage, 50% of this damage will be split equally among the other crusaders in the formation, including Auld Lang Syne himself. 50: Old Long Since (Some people call him that, for whatever reasons. But his strength does come with age.) DPS +150% 75: Resolutions (Let's all resolve to strengthen ourselves this year, okay?) Increases the DPS of all crusaders by 15%. For every 10% health lost by a crusader in the formation, the base DPS of that crusader is increased by 25%. 100: New Year Spoils (These spoils are nice and fresh.... just like the new year!) Heals all crusaders in the formation by 5% of their max HP whenever a monster is killed, or 20% whenever a boss is killed. 200: For Me (For MeeeeeEEEEEEeeeee my friends! For MeeeeeeEEEEEEEeeeeee!) Lvl 200 upgrade Gear: Increases DPS of all (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%) - Age-old Calendar (It's last year's, but it still has its value.) - This Year's Calendar (Here, you can now see what date is what day, I believe.) - Year Planner (Specially printed for the convenience of planning ahead!) - Digital Calendar (Technically, it's just a smartphone app.) Increases Base DPS (25%, 50%, 100%, 200%) - Simple Firecracker (But it flies and pops! How is it simple?) - Decent Firework (Ooh! Pretty!) - Fancy Firework (Wow! So many colors!) - Exquisite Barrage of Fireworks (Is this stolen from some new-year mass celebration?) Increases Resolutions effect (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, does not increase the health loss threshold) - Leaky Pen (I've got more ink on me hands than on this paper!) - Simple Bic Pen (Bought for cheap from Wat-Mart. You can barely see the writings.) - Ballpoint Pen (The writing's pretty darn black too.) - Shiny Fountain Pen (Carefully polished and stored in a jewellery case.) Nathan Dragon (who is, in fact, the father of Natalie and Nate) Switches with the Hermit. 5: Dragonborn (Fus Ro.... wait for it.... DAH!) DPS +100% 10: Defiance (What do you mean 'No Dragons'? Heck with it!) DPS +100% 25: Artificial Flames (Who needs to breathe fire when you have a flamethrower?) DPS +100% 50: Aging Dragon (My last name is 'Dragon' for a reason: I am one myself!) For every 10 areas complete, Nathan's base DPS is increased by 15%. 75: The Father of Dragons (Sure learned well, they have. If only they could stop fighting for a minute....) Increases Nathan's base DPS by 75% if either one of the Dragons (Natalie or Nate) is in the formation. If both Nate and Natalie are in, Nathan's base DPS is increased by 150% instead. 100: Back to Bushwhackia (Hey Bush Whacker, I've definitely seen you before! Here lemme help you with the clicks.) Increases Swordplay by 20%. 200: Adventure Time (Come along Ja.... I mean, Nate and Natalie!) Lvl 200 upgrade Gear: Increases DPS of all (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%) - Over-sweetened Cup of Coffee (Is this actually coffee or just brown food-coloring with too much sugar?) - Normal Cup o' Joe (A little sip of this sure makes you feel energized!) - Fancy Mocha (Suits my taste, but a little too much foam still.) - Rich Black from BushBuck's Coffee (Now this is what I call a cup of coffee!) Increases Base DPS (25%, 50%, 100%, 200%) - Brittle Dragon's Rune (Will break any time at any form of disturbance, sound included.) - Dim Dragon's Rune (It's still pretty smooth even though it doesn't shine.) - Shiny Dragon's Rune (Pretty sensitive to light, and look at its glow!) - Luminous Dragon's Rune (Sometimes you have to wonder if the process within the rune itself is spontaneous). Increases Aging Dragon effect (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) - Childhood Photo (Come on, stop looking at it! It's embarrassing!) - Picture of a Generic Dragon (I swear, this is me when I was still young!) - Family Photo (All four of us are in.... this should remind the kids to look after themselves.) - Figurines of the Dragons (What cute family figurines! There's Nate, this one's Natalie, this here's Elena... and here I am!) |

TeschioThe last one you suggest is immensly overpowered. Even being an event crusader, therefore with crappy EPs, he would still be WAY too strong. 3 +100% DPS skill, a +300% DPS skill, and another one that actually SCALES with levels completed, up to insane DPS boosts (like +1000% at lvl 400, +2000% with epic gear!). I appreciate the time it took you to create it, with quotes and everything else, but you didn't really think it through...
