I started the Kwanzaa Candle quest yesterday and have yet to find a single candle. I saw in the Christmas Event thread that someone else is having a similar issue yet another person has finished it already.

Is there a glitch with that quest?

EDIT: No sooner did I post this than I went back to the game and immediately found 5 of the candles then nothing more. Once I got down to the candles being the only quest item I needed to get then they seemed to show up. I'm going through a lot of energy for these candles though. Its a little ridiculous!

EDIT 2: 7 hours later I finally got the last 2 candles. The drop rate on them seems to be fairly high compared to other quest items.

this quest has always been a hard one in previous years, seems to take forever to get the candles

and with OVER 13 days to complete it still in the event when it came out I wonder why people have to complain about random drops.

@Raymond Jerome said,"and with OVER 13 days to complete it still in the event when it came out I wonder why people have to complain about random drops."

I know you think you are being helpful Raymond, but chiding players who ask questions isn't helpful. You are complaining about someone complaining... and not everyone gets to play every day as you do and you may for all you know, be responding to a player that has not played for long. Try to remember that as you impart your wisdom

I think it is high time that players complained about random drops. Randomness in the game is "set" by the developers. They can program it to seem as random as possible, but cannot claim randomness as it truly is not. It is a word they use to imply randomness, rather like using unmount instead of dismount or tractoring when we are harvesting. Its wrong, but it is accepted. But unlike the misuse of words, randomness in settings do effect the game play.

Consider the diamonds. I have 2 after one year. Some player got one after a few months and then another the next day. I know a player who has none after 3 years. Something has glitched and failed in THAT randomness a setting. There should be a set cap whereby a player will get their rewards if the computerized randomness fails to spew out the diamond.

Now lets consider you, and myself for that matter. We can play every day. We can play when we like. We have can overcome that randomness that will block others from getting the prize. Our ratio of "wins" and percentages are increased by the sheer volume of our play time. In other words, as a long time player continue to help, but try to bite your tongue next time someone complains.

believe me, I understand randomness. And would love there to be MORE randomness in this game.
I dislike the fact that everyone gets the same 'random' daily quest. All I have to do is ask someone, or log in to an account that does no daily quests, in order to know what to expect 'today'. I truly dislike that. But the Devs want everyone to have the same chance when there's an achievement to do all 'x' quests of building 'y' in a reasonable time.
I dislike intensely that event houses are exactly 1,2,3,4 then random, and would love it for those to be truly random from the start like it had been during years where people were getting say the raccoon house 4 times in a row right off the bat in the event...
one should have to work to do things in this game if one wants to reap the benefits/reward of their work.

there will always be a difference between long time players and new players, in every game. and eventually long time players quit or get bored.

@Raymond Jerome
You are of absolutely NO HELP!! Go Troll somewhere else if you don't have something of value to contribute.
I was genuinely wondering if there was a glitch with that quest since the drop rate on all the other quests happened rather quickly. If there was a glitch Devs should be informed of it but I didn't want to bother them if there wasn't an issue. If other people started saying that they were having a problem as well I would have contacted the Devs.

To you 13 days may be nothing since you're at Lvl 326 which means you have plenty of energy to burn through. I DON'T, I'm at Lvl 71 I have 890 for energy and it takes forever for it to refill. Even with me taking full advantage of buying energy refills and using my farm plots there is a good probability that I will only come CLOSE to finishing this quest in the next 13 days.

i am not specifically complaining about your complaining. i am expressing the fact that many in chat right now when the event still has as many days to go that all other events last for in total, i.e. this event is exceptionally LONG compared to 14 day ones. and people complain about something seemingly taking forever. let it go a day or two then if something is not dropping then complaints have value in my mind.
but to expect to complete every quest offered instantly, which is what I must imagine that many complainers expect, is just wrong.
my own opinion.

It also took forever for me to get the last 2 candles, and I'm at level 310, so it does seem to be a more difficult than normal quest. I also have never whacked up a diamond ... go figure.
