There is little help on the help page and it is remiss of the developers to ask for players to be providing all of the info to other players. (AKA Wiki) I have given many hints to other players, but being I spend little time on the main Island, newer players are not getting all the help might might need.

I actually thought this was a really lame game, and only used it to fill some time for the first few months. Had I not gotten to the commons when I did, I was going to give up on the game as I had no idea how fun the commons and events were. I spoke to many players who said, "same here!"

I have no idea how your updating works and how easy it is to add to the islands but here are some suggestions to help players get started and continue to enjoy the game.

~ All info NPCs should have a green triangle above their head. (Note the AI ones do not) The info should be reviewed every few months to ensure accuracy. Adding URLs to Wiki and the codename main site should be available, but should not be the only info provided.

~ An info booth similar to the Vacatau one that doesn't do a darn thing. (You can copy and paste it or just use the banner, so no need for new graphics)

~ The info booth could be on the tutorial shore, with beginner info

~ Another at the commons entrance giving a list of buildings that are possible to the player as the game progresses, and anything that cannot be added to the town crier as his list is already too long. (Like the daily clown bonus every 20 hours)

~ Add a booth or banner (and for sure the green arrow) to the AI info lady on the dock. Update her answers to the many questions that players DO ASK, like how to use the "enable player clicking"

I know you have a list of player's questions that you must have complied over the years. If you can't make the changes. If you can't implement the booths, how about using the daily popup for info sharing game when there are no events/news flashes. One new one could be added daily on the slow days.

When I asked why the forums were so seldom used and why the higher level players do not answer the new players questions, the answer was that they are tired of answering the same old questions. If players do not get answers or help, they get frustrated and perhaps even angry and leave. Either way, some extra help would also take the heat off your communications/support staff if done properly.

Yes, then there's that! heheh

I schlepped around on the first island for almost 4 months... then I got to the commons and realized there was more to the game and actual globe and maps to travel with. Its why I like helping others now... as I wasn't able to get into the game at all until then.
