3 Posts	Link to post - Posted November 10th 2011 at 8:14 PM Odin Oxthorn I may be one of the few people who have missed out on part of the holiday items from past events, and being a bit of a completionist, it drives me absolutely NUTS. I have bought everything from the auction house that it has to offer so far, but what if all the holiday event items were offered as well? It kinda serves no purpose after that, except if you like bread. This would give people a chance to complete their collection. I was under the impression when the auction house first came out that this was an intention for later, but I would love to see it actually happen.
216 Posts	Link to post - Posted November 11th 2011 at 5:29 AM Heather Collings I agree.. I missed out on the first Back to School event where you had to help build schoolhouse so I didnt get the giant bell, globe or blackboard that other BW users have in their homes

If you can't get all the items this time, then you have the chance to get them next time. So far every Event has repeated. Well the Build the School one of last year was not repeated but it is 'built' into the Game now for everyone automatically. If all these Event items were available in the Auction House, most people would get them all without any competition, just think how many people play, how many people missed certain items, and how many people will wait weeks or longer after an Event when nobody else is in the Auction House to compete against. If all items were displayable to anyone perusing your Profile then they would be the mark of distinction that they are supposed to be. But one can only wear 5 items, a Hat, a Cape, a Sword, some Eyewear, and an invisibly Belt Buckle.
3 Posts	Link to post - Posted November 13th 2011 at 9:15 AM Last Edited November 13th 2011 at 9:16 AM Odin Oxthorn Ok, but it makes it harder for the future events, because not only do you have to earn the previous year's items, but the new content that comes out as well, making it even more difficult to get everything. Every event has repeated, but there is new content for you to earn. So put a limited availability on when the items are available in the auction house and make an announcement. It will still give off the appropriate supply and demand feel. Also, I do not use the items as a mark of distinction. I am a completionist, so when I do not have everything, and there is no possibility for me to ever get the items, it makes me lose interest in the game.

The "Build the Schoolhouse" is one of those events - so the school bell will only ever be owned by those who were at the founding of BW (or in the first few months). As far as the holiday event item, if Halloween is any indicator, the items from last year were offered up again this year.
