Method 1:
Convert XP into Rubies upon reset at a 1:1 ratio. That's 10 rubies every 5 hours. People who reset ASAP and in under 5 hours won't get rubies, they'll get more idols faster, while those still struggling receive rubies to work towards better equip

Method 2:
Convert XP into Idols, at a 2:1 Idol ratio. Every 5 hours earns 5 idols, not that excessive when I can earn 15 Idols per hour. Players doing their first few resets will gain a lot more extra idols than usual.. Speeding up game play a little but not too much, but it rewards those who try for 150, or 200 and take a day or 2 to do it. As well as those who can't be on all day and have to work or goto school.
