FlybabyI have several pet eggs in my inventory that I DO NOT want to hatch. Is there any way to release them? When I talk to Misty, it only gives me the option of hatching them. I clicked on one by accident and had to go through the long process of hatching it. There was no way to change my mind because it was considered a special egg.

FinieousI don't believe so.
Eventually, you'll get to a point where you don't care what you're hatching (since you have everything available in the current batch). You'll just be hatching for the daily quest rewards and the releasable pet. At that point, you'll have a bunch of spare eggs saved up and won't have to do the annoying "search for an egg" quest. |

RaymondIt's VERY easy to release all your pet satchel eggs.
1. finish whatever pet you are currently raising. 2. ask to start a new pet and when it says 'what about this Bear egg...' start that. 3. Immediately cancel out that pet. 4. repeat at 2 until you have no more eggs you want to get rid of. |

Raymondyour problem is that you will continue to win pet eggs as some rare satchel rewards. you should keep at least 2 of every generation 1 and generation 2 pet for now and plan to keep 2 of every generation 3 pet for once generation 4 starts...

FinieousI haven't tried it, and Raymond tends to test the things he talks about. However, I thought the official word was that older generation pets could not be canceled.. Note this from the release notes for the Gen3 pets:
"Misty will no longer let players abandon Gen 2 pet eggs that they are hatching (they're now too rare). Only current gen pet eggs can be abandoned during hatching." Also, Flybaby specifically said, there "was no way to change my mind because it was considered a special egg." Perhaps that restriction on canceling older generation pets was removed, though? |

jpl77Finieous is correct. I haven't heard anything about revoking the previous statement.

FlybabyThanks for all your feedback. What I am trying to do is hatch unique eggs from whatever generation so that I can unlock higher PAGAS bonuses. (From what I can see, duplicates of pets don't count even if their bonuses are different)

Becca ZiemsIf the bonuses are different, they do count as unique pets. So having a gem hippo and a gold hippo would be considered two pets for the PAGAS bonus.

i.e. there are 10 gen 1 pets, 10 gen 2 pets, 10 gen 3 pets, various event pets, various amicus pets, various pagas dna pets, various ... |

FinieousExactly. A hippo is a hippo :)
Ask Vincent at PAGAS to see your progress: it will be very clear what counts as a unique pet. |
