Flux Question

I get here every so often so have a few trinkets. I'm wondering with the new release if it's better to go back to the beginning to start collecting those trinkets or if I should work where I am (flux 14)? Also, is there a way I can tell which trinkets I have are from which flux level? Thanks for any tips you can offer!
Lvl 440 "Other Peoples Problem Solver!" 5565 Posts	Link to post - Posted January 9th 2015 at 7:26 AM Raymond the best trinkets for you to ever want to use are in the highest flux, 13.0, even those from 12.0 are probably worthless to you or anyone. to know how many trinkets of every one of the 15 fluxes you have just talk to that guy to the right.

Lvl 440 "Other Peoples Problem Solver!" 5565 Posts	Link to post - Posted January 30th 2015 at 11:22 PM Raymond flux trinkets are not 'combinable' but once one has all 8 of the current flux trinkets he gets flux dust for more of the current fluxes puzzles that can be used on a special trinket or get custom items. one also can collect prior flux trinkets and after getting all 8 of a set can convert all 8 to 8 dust. kind of a long way to get more dust, but variety spices up life. doing older fluxes is fun
Lvl 330 "Pseudo Achiever" 438 Posts	Link to post - Posted January 31st 2015 at 11:24 AM Marci Wilson you definitely want to stay in the current flux in order to collect the set of more powerful trinkets, there are 8. After collecting them, then go back and collect each set. It will not matter in which order you collect them, as they are fairly useless for game play anyhow. Just stay in that particular flux until you know you have all the available trinkets from that version. Word to the wise, keep the set of trinkets handy from the fresh flux until AFTER hitting the next flux and collecting THOSE trinkets before turning them in.... don't do what I did and turn them in for dust just because you can... (what was I thinking?)
735 Posts	Link to post - Posted January 31st 2015 at 4:51 PM jpl77 The best bet is work backwards in The Flux. Probably the most useful 'old' Flux trinkets are the Max Energy trinkets, and you would only use them when leveling up.
