Nickshire (CNE Dev)Thank you for the honest and insightful feedback so far everyone! It's incredibly helpful and is ultimately what I set out to accomplish with this update.
There is more I wanted to do even with this lite version of the endless dungeons tech that didn't make it into this mini-event. I appreciate you taking the scope of this mini-event into consideration! I'm loving the suggestions, many of which I already had in mind for the Flux dungeon. Flybaby, click, zingman, phagras, bobbi, barb, thank you for the specific feedback and suggestions. I've noted it down and will try to incorporate as much as I can. @click2806, I really like your 3-choices suggestion, and it had occurred to me as well! I've played several rogue-like games that incorporated this, and that little bit of control goes a long way in making a more thoughtful/tactical experience, which I think could greatly remedy the monotony present in the Flux as it is as well as the Lost Woods mini event. |

WhackedCrafterI think adding more NPC with side quests, like how we got the sword would be great and having Sashi sell more than baskets/snacks would help, plus have her show up more often. I have decided to go all the way to the end. But would be nice to see my progress better. At least I have a good reason to dress up like Link. :) Oh, one glitch I got this morning, around 7:30am MST, after the game froze for everyone 3 times, when after the 3rd reload I was the Headless Horseman. Everything of my Avatar was there, but my head. I was kinda freaky watching my arm whack bushes without a head. It continued that way until I had finished the tier.

BeetleBaitthis mini event is pretty bugged. Im in the final 3rd dungeon and I keep getting stuck unable to pass through the log and I have to keep redoing the puzzle all over again.

BeetleBaitAlso I think this event should be extended due to the bug so people can actually finish the dungeon, since its impossible to atm as people keep getting stuck or the game freezes due to a bug.

kiki_arThanks Nick for this mini event!
It´s good to do something different... and take a break from 144 pc flux puzzles... :D I agree/liked the comments/suggestions posted above. Keep in mind that we have played challenging and original content in the last hubs, so the bar is already high... :D |

Nickshire (CNE Dev)The log freezing issue should now be fixed! Please reload to get the update.
Unfortunately I cannot extend this event as the Spring Garden event will be starting right after it at noon this Friday. |

kiki_arI just finished tier 4. Game took me to event area and now I´m back at tier 1
Is this correct? Shouldn´t I be in tier 5? Or it´s just the notification sign wrong? |

Nickshire (CNE Dev)The "Tier" you see on the top left puzzle panel isn't the tier of the dungeon, but the tier of the field you're in, which which puzzle of that specific field you're working in. This will always be 1, as there's only one puzzle in each of these Lost Woods fields.
I'll certainly try to make the dungeon tier more obvious somewhere. |

Bobbi BrownSo... a question. Right now, I have tons of flux dust and have stopped doing flux puzzles. Should this become the way of the flux, will we be required to complete the puzzles every time? or have the option to whack without doing them?

ZingmanSome more thoughts...
Assuming "endless flux" is not replacing the normal flux, it probably ought to be a "once a week" type thing, like the trials in the City of the Rocksmashers. Again, the reward needs to be commensurate with the effort required, or, once the novelty wears off, players aren't going to want to do it. If players can get more flux dust just playing the normal flux, and more tokens/satchels just doing a questhub/daily quests, then they'll do that. Tied into that, I'm unsure about a unique currency for endless flux, and if it should be given out in addition to or in lieu of flux dust. A unique currency would definitely be a driver for players to do "endless flux", but if given out instead of flux dust it makes the player choose which they want to go for (kinda meh). My gut says give out both (but then I'm player so of course I'm going to have that bias). Of course you'd also need things to spend the new currency on, and they'd have to be worthwhile to get... Sliding/push block "levels" sounds like a great idea, but if they're not somehow randomized they could potentially end up even more annoying than just whacking bushes. Whacking bushes is mindless, a misclick in a sliding/push block puzzle and having to go back to the start (especially one that you've done dozens of times) is an annoyance. As others have said, it'd be nice if you could see the current field/level of the tier you're working on without having to go back to the start (yes you see it when you first enter the area, but that's the only time you see it). |

forgingaheartNick i have rather enjoyed this little trial of yours. i started almost a day behind everyone, and interestingly i never had the stuck in a log problem. maybe there is an interesting collation there. I'd also like to suggest a "stuck in a log" decor item or even a cosmetic? XD
of all the ideas i saw listed in the thread, i liked click's ideas bast. i also would like the option to navigate my way through the place, choosing my route and rewards, heck maybe i could even get lost in the lost woods through bad choices and get an achievement for that and then one for finally getting out again. I suggest the title "easily lost." it will be interesting to see you flesh this out, but Nick i am wondering if the real purpose wasn't to gobble up all my large e-packs :P XD |

Kate (aquafishy)Nick, food for thought -
Instead of making this a flux area, it could be an "endless variety" area, that would be accessible by all players, low and high, and have drop rates of area specific items/currency tied to the clock, like it is when waiting for crops to ripen. This would make the level of gameplay the same, potentially, for both high and low level players. Rewards could be purchased from a store for whatever the player is interested in, be it gems, gold, customization items, rune dust, pets, mounts, area specific currency required. I love the idea, for example, of bringing those push puzzles, and other puzzles that some like, and some do not, into an area like this that could be easily solved with area specific currency that drops automatically. |
