Last year there also was a Snowman Pet, I don't know if that will happen again this year, but we will get something from the 'presents' in one of the squares when we are allowed to do something to them, go try right now and see what it says.

741 Posts	Link to post - Posted December 24th 2011 at 11:08 PM Nate Dauer I definitely wasn't going to make it at the rate I was playing (I was active and everything, it's just the requirements were too much). However, I used that spell of "Frenzied Regeneration" and man has it helped a lot. It also helped to turn on the two max-energy boosters prior to my daily whack, using my energy packs, and for cashing in 5 fishing tokens to Steve. I gathered more carrots today than I did yesterday and the day before that combined.

"The event will run until December 30th at Noon PST, though you only have until December 25th at Midnight PST to collect carrots for the special Reindeer pet! Good luck!" -> until December 25th at Midnight PST.... NOT December 24th at Midnight PST (although the quest log states otherwise) I was less than 15 carrots away, but since I read it as December 25th at Midnight PST I figured I would finish tonight. I should have another 22 hours and 40 minutes to go according to the "BUSH WHACKER NEWS" opening page. Even noon on the 25th would be OK.

As Ka Thy points out, it finished on December 24th at Midnight, rather than December 25th at Midnight, and this means I didn't get to finish. Now I'm not sure what to do, since I just got excess energy- should I go ahead and spend it down, hoping that the developers will fix this, and maybe even extend it a day to fix this error? If I don't spend it, it'll just sit there, and I won't regen energy.

I PURCHASED Bush Bucks just to make sure that I would have enough carrots to get the reindeer. Very disappointed...and on Christmas. =(

That has nothing to do with my question. --- Apparently I should have made a new topic to make sure the Devs saw it... Unless that was too late. Sigh... as it was, I gave bad advice a couple of days ago. I had seemed to remember there was another event that ended not quite when we thought either thus my question. My Mom was trying to get hers done, but she was 19 away. Wonder what will happen...

It said that when one started that quest, and the Quest Log also said that. The opening blurb to the game has many times been wrong, both blatantly and also subtly. Whenever something happens Midnight I ALWAYS make sure that I know exactly what/when they mean, and I ALWAYS be done long beforehand just to be safe. And when something like that happens on a long holiday weekend when the Developers are most likely to NOT be around I doubly make sure I'm done long before that accident waiting to happen. There is always next year for those that missed it by a little or a lot.

The military use 23:59:59 hrs & 00:00:01 hrs to prevent confusion. I think, if it's possible, the devs should use similar timing in the coding when they want an event to end at midnight and not mudnight (my original and apt typo lol).
