Kite_samaOK then, here are 3 facts for you:
1. I have an IQ over 120, and I specialize in shapes and spotting patterns. 2. There are some questions that the devs simply aren't going to answer. 3. People get disappointed when they don't get an answer, or even a reply. this is why people dont like you, you think of you way too high and that others are just a bunch of brutes that can compete against you, i can be more smarter than you or dont, i dont care really, i just do what i like how i like and i dont feel the need to look down on others or make them know im smarter and they arent. i really recommend to you, if you want that people likes you and have some respect for you, try to be modest first, not just being a smart ass who thinks that knows everything and can predict everything, because there will be always someone smarter than you and would put you in your place. |

Tim HotalingLast Edited February 20th 2012 at 10:44 PM For those of you who think a player made game would be a terrible idea please check out this link
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/66710809/double-fine-adventure Double Fine is a terrific company and they are doing just that. At the rate this topic is escalating and getting off subject, I wouldn't be surprised if this thread gets closed. |

Kite_samaLast Edited February 20th 2012 at 10:34 PM P.D: all you presume about knowing how its gonna end, i already knew that, but i keep posting and giving ideas in hopes that someday the devs care for what players have to said.
Just a little recommendation to devs, if you really care for the players, a little response letting them know that you would consider and idea or at least would have it in mind for a future, would be nice, when people ask question or gives ideas the least you could do is let them know you listen to them. |

Shahrokh M.For fuck's sake people, I've been reading all this crap over and over again. "The devs don't care" boo hoo. Get over it. The devs have responded to major concerns by changing the game: they changed it so switching doesn't cost an energy, they changed it so that you could get tsktsk to make up for not having a strong water type, they added more energy upon level up, they've gone back and fixed their own errors during updates. If they hadn't cared, they wouldn't have even bothered to do that. So no, they actually do listen. And they do respond to posts, they even respond to some posts that are completely pointless or easily answerable by other players.
And you know what, the devs don't even have to listen to all of that anyway. They could've easily just not created a forum and let the game unfold for itself. I for one am fine with the way the game works. I don't care if I can't play all the time, because surprisingly there's more to this life than a game. Keep up the good work devs, I'll keep appreciating the hard work because plain and simple, I wouldn't even know where to begin to create a game like this. Thanks! |

David Whittaker (CNE Dev)Hi Carlos,
I am going to be honest with you, I am hurt, hurt and insulted that you would claim that we don't care. This is a hard job, and I work 10 hour days and weekends to get everything that needs to get done done. It is nearly 10pm here and I should be relaxing but instead I am dealing with posts like this. We don't always have time to read every thread posted and reply to every suggestion every time it is suggested, and you have the ego to think that every suggestion you make should be treated like gospel and implemented immediately! You want to design games? maybe you should learn to program, go to university for 6 years, put your own time and money down and start your own company... then you can deal with the people who don't understand what it takes telling you you don't care when you don't do everything they say. You want to be taken seriously? Show more respect, and at the very least use proper capitalization! -David |

Kite_samaLast Edited February 20th 2012 at 11:45 PM is good to know that you can get hurt by words, actually i was thinking if you really cared or not, now i know you care, thats good to know.
maybe i go a little away saying you dont listen at all, i have to give some credit, you guys at least have used some ideas from the people, and no i dont want that all my ideas are used, i just do something i learned studying graphic design, giving you a lot of ideas so you can have something to work with and maybe make a better outcome from something you guys already thought and if you dont maybe you could get a new idea, if you feel insulted im sorry but i have to do that, it was the only way to see if you guys really listen what we said and the ideas we give, like i said in a previous post, we like to have a response here and there, i know is a lot of work, i have been admin in forums much more biggers than this and it takes a lot of time, but i never leave a single question without a response, and i make sure that people would know that i would answer them in respectives hours, that i have a life and will not be always there, maybe you need to do that, make something about how to spend your time, so you dont feel is taking your little time you have free. i like the idea about games, but i dont plan to be the one to do the programming, is just way boring and i dont like to do the same over an over, i studied graphic design because no matter what i do, i will always do something new :D and i plan to use my money for my own bussines in a future, like i said i dont like that someone else tells me what i have to do, i prefer to be my own boss. about respect is something is gained, here im the costumer like lasynda said earlier, and i feel insulted, like im a 0 at the left of a 1, when i feel im respected i give respect too. and the last but not less, english isnt the lenguage i speak, so i dont care for those things, just knowing that people can understand what i said is more than enought for me, if you want to see how i write in my lenguage and the good use i give it, tell me you know spanish and with pleasure i give you all i think in that lenguage and with all the proper requisites it needs :D |

Lasynda ShichirojiHi Nate,
I only used Zynga as an example because currently and for awhile they have been the biggest known game provider on Facebook. I really don't care what Forbes says about them I could care less if Zynga was gone tomorrow quite frankly. You just entirely missed the point of what I was saying using them as an example it would seem. (Quoting Nate) OK then, here are 3 facts for you: 1. I have an IQ over 120, and I specialize in shapes and spotting patterns. 2. There are some questions that the devs simply aren't going to answer. 3. People get disappointed when they don't get an answer, or even a reply. (End Quote) 1. I have an IQ of 155 last it was tested. IQ has been said time and time again by scientists and other people with degrees to not mean anything other then how much a person is capable of learning. There are Autistic people for example who are smarter then you or even me and they have IQ's of 80 on average, if I remember correctly. Also being able to spot patterns and shapes doesn't have ANYTHING to do with your IQ either. That is entirely spacial learning nothing more. My other half can remember every word he ever hears and be able to repeat it back at any time. This doesn't make him smarter either it's just an ability he has naturally and it helps him, btw his IQ is over 140 not like that matters as I've already pointed out. 2. DUH if the Devs spent every waking moment in here answering every question instead of getting things like updates for games done we'd never have games to play. The ONLY problem I have EVER had with your posts on here is you post as if what you say to people IS fact you don't general say I THINK this is how it works or whatever, you should just change your name to Newt Gingrich if you wanna keep talking like him. The only time I have ever claimed fact is when I already know what a Dev has publicly said here in the forums and then I'm just repeating them not talking out my arse. 3. WELCOME TO REAL LIFE yes it sucks when you don't get an answer but I do know for myself at least I personally got a little tired of repeating myself to every person who didn't take the time to see if their question had already been answered. I also would like to think that all the people who play this game are grown up enough and intelligent enough to understand that, again, the Devs can't live in the forums 24/7 to answer things. (Quoting Nate) EDIT: Ironically, I was in the process of removing my intro-comment while Lasynda was typing hers, or so it would seem... (End Quote) It took you over an hour to remove three sentences really? I started writing my post at almost 3 Pacific Time. I stepped away for food and was tired so took a nap. You posted your comment 20 minutes before I woke up and took you over an hour for the process of removing it really. What is your process for editing things? I'd also like to note that according to the forum you made the edit one minute after I made my post. (Quoting Nate) EDIT 2: I don't think you're going to "burn out" Lasynda, though I do actually expect you to soon drop out of the game/slow down significantly on account of a more important matter in your life becoming, well, more important and demanding. No malice intended, but I don't see how you'd be able to juggle this game into your daily routine when it happens. (End Quote) Define soon please? This I have to hear yes I have made it known that I AM expecting but I KNOW I haven't told a person on Facebook how far I actually am publicly. I know for damned sure I never told you how far I am. Also not my first time doing this so you can assume things all you want but I KNOW how things work it's amazing really the time I will still have for playing on Facebook and still be able to take care of a new goofball. I also would suggest leaving that topic alone as it has no place here. Also like I said I'll still be able to play I probably just won't have time for the forums as much anymore. Not a big deal to me really. Also as far as your comments about Pummel. 1. Don't give a damn I don't hold grudges or dumb crap like that have better things to do with my time. 2. Even before that thread got to far into it Pummel was already saying 2 confirmed hits with reduced chance after that. Not my fault if you just now noticed it but it was updated in the game the same day Justin, I believe it was, posted the updates to moves back at the end of January and LONG before I ever got involved with that thread. I never argued how much it hit, especially since it was posted by a Dev that it was 2 for sure and up to 3 more after. All I ever was arguing was your idea of how the math played out in it. I won't get into this again either like I said unless a Dev would like to take the time to explain the math on it I have nothing more to say on it. 3. How do you claim to be right based on what I just said in #2? Hi Shahrokh, I personally don't think I have ever said that the Devs don't care here. I know what you said wasn't directed specifically at me just wanted to say that in case someone thought otherwise. Again though as far as energy for switching Guardians go that was announced by the Devs as a known bug and was also announced when it was fixed. I absolutely agree that we are lucky that they have this forum here for people to speak up about things. I also totally agree that it is just a game that we are lucky enough to be able to play. Honestly if David and them had wished they could have kept the game off the FB field for playing while they built more into it. Should they have done that I know has been up for debate but is not a debate I will get into I've said my peace previously and won't repeat myself. I DO appreciate the work that David and his team have put forth in this game as I have said time and time again this looks like it could be a really great game. Hi David, I can understand and relate with the work thing. I have some days where I only can give my FB games maybe an hour then off to my Second Life where I make most of my income from. I have had to spend entire days before trying to get something working just right and in the end when I finally have it done it's great. Sometimes I end up shelving a project yes, hehe some I still haven't gotten back to they annoyed me that much, but for the most part I get things done. Speaking of I think I will end this here as I actually have to get some new content created before the end of the month I have a time table to work with right now so enjoy yourself some everyone and remember it IS just a game. :D -Lasynda *note* since Carlos posted while I was writing this....maybe you and David should talk a bit privately and get you two worked out it might be better that way :D |

Benedikt AlbertI don't want to post walls of text here, that's why I kept it short. And I will keep it short again, as I don't see this leading anywhere. However: I did not say, that we should not make suggestions (I made some myself and I will continue doing so), Lasynda. Neither did I say, that all suggestion are bad.
What I said was, that you can't let the players design this game (because there are also many bad suggestions here, don't defraud that). Now I could write a wall of text about how complex game design is and why it has to follow strict rules and stuff. What I meant is simply this: The citizens of a country would probably always reduce the taxes. It doesn't benefit the country however. Game Design should not be a democracy. |

Tim HotalingHi Benedikt,
I completely disagree with your statement. Players tend to be the ones who end up becoming game makers, thus players design the game. And as I stated before some companies, including this one, are actually asking players for their input into the game. Like others have stated, why else would they have a forum page dedicated to suggestions? |

Benedikt AlbertIf you design a house, you of course listen to your family and everyone's ideas. But you let an architect design the house. Does that analogy work for you? I said twice already, that I have nothing against player suggestions! It's just annonying to see people spamming the forums with how their idea did not get implemented.

Lasynda ShichirojiI wouldn't let an architect have free reign on building MY house hun sorry what if it's a unique architect who thinks houses shouldn't have any corners anywhere? Or they want to put a Bathroom in the kitchen(EWWWWW) or they want to put in an underground pool that can have the pool covered with a flip of a switch when not in use or they think the house should have 4 floors and ladders instead of stairs to get around?
Yes the architect builds the house but you TELL them what you want. If you want something that is unsafe, like a room on the second floor that juts out from the house with little or no support then it is their job, as well as a few other peoples, to say you can't do this because it isn't safe. I never said people shouldn't make suggestions either nor have I said EVERY suggestion should be listened to. Also I try not to write so much it just ends up like that in the end trust me though if I really got going my posts would be MUCH longer if I didn't stop myself sometimes on things. |

Nate DauerI just had an awesome day. Not only did I spend the whole afternoon with my best 'local' friend, but I found out my previous best 'local' friend (before he moved away) will be coming back to visit for several days, beginning tomorrow, most likely. That said, this whole thing feels petty. I know I'm not blameless in it, but I don't want anything more of it anymore. Or at least I don't want to want anything more to do with it.
I'm deleting all my previous posts in this thread. |

Jacqueline L SimonEveryone just relax, geesh.
This is a fine game, and it has a lot of further potential. It blows me away sometimes how amazing DJ arts games are (possible exception of vampire mob whatever) , and yet they're not so well known. Can I assume that the reason you're all here is because you care about this game? That you want it to succeed? That you hope that it'll be here for a long time and keep you entertained? Then if you really want to do something about it, recruit players! Tell your friends about it. If you see a friend posting their friend codes in pokemon black, tell them about this game! Say "Hey, did you know that there's another creature capture game, right here on Facebook? Check it out and play it with me!" It's all about the jelly beans. If you like a feature, buy jelly beans. If you don't like a feature, don't buy jelly beans until its changed, or they add a better/different feature. Jelly beans are votes of confidence. If you DO NOT want your opinion to be heard, the best way to do that is to insult, berate, and argue. That will ensure that further postings by you will be glossed over, unread. If you WANT your opinion to be heard, state what you want. State why you think it's a good idea. For extra credit, state how you think this idea will make the developers money. And then stop talking. |
