KameRoseMost players are not so obsessed with the game that the have to get it all done as quickly as possible. I took me well over 6 months to get all of the 20 originals to rare or better and there is no way you can say I am not a dedicated player. I reset every day. The only reason I was able to get full rare that fast is because I bought some GEs. So you approximation of two months is false and impossible for the common player that has a life and doesn't have time to reset multiple times a day.
>>>>"If you played all the events most if not all of the ECs are rare or better as well. In fact most ECs are better equipped than the default Crusaders." I have ECs from both events and missions, and while the ones I get from events are more likely to hold their own in formations because of the gear they get from the events they come from, none of the ECs are automatically better than the originals in the same slot. Dearie, I said better EQUIPPED not BETTER. Sorry, I apparently didn't make it clear enough and you misunderstood. Don't worry happens to everyone. As for warps, strange as it might sound, some players actually use them for objectives. I have a hoard of warps, but I wouldn't waste them on something as mundane as a gear mission. The players that would use them to speed up missions have not been playing as long and probably don't have that many and if they wanted a lot of them in a hurry they'd have to buy chests, which would make the devs happy seeing revenue coming in. |

Animenut"Most players are not so obsessed with the game that the have to get it all done as quickly as possible." That is why I didn't use myself as a basis for reference. I am not the common player. You might have missed that part. Don't worry, it happens to everyone.
"I took me well over 6 months to get all of the 20 originals to rare or better" Six months? I would react more in-depth to this, but it will be better covered in a later section. "So you approximation of two months is false and impossible for the common player that has a life and doesn't have time to reset multiple times a day." I don't remember many times I've reset multiple times per day. Even earlier on when I could only routinely get to 200 with moderate ease, I would only reset maybe twice per day, and that didn't last long at all since the idols built up pretty quickly and I was able to reach 300 and 400 pretty quickly (in terms of overall gameplay time, not individual resets), which took most of the day to get to, which limited me to 1 reset per day. 2 if I was lucky. That was progress within a month. Which, again, is abnormal because I am not the average gamer and would never use myself as a set standard. Doubling still might not hit the realm of normality, and tripling might get close but not quite there, so even if I quadruple it to make an enormous difference in time between myself and the common player, that should be plenty of time. If it took you "well over 6 months" of dedicated play, then you're just horribly, horribly, hooooorrribly unlucky. I'm famously unlucky among my friends, so much so that we've given my special god-endowed bad luck it's own name, and even I managed to get full-rare within a month of dedicated play. If it took you 6 months of dedicated play, then CLEARLY there is an alternate factor not being considered to cause such a massive difference. "I said better EQUIPPED not BETTER." First off, wrong. Second off, that's the whole purpose of this thread. 1) When are ECs ever better-equipped than originals? I've gotten a fair few ECs from events and their gear never outranks my originals because I was able to get loads of original gear from silver chests and do early/easy objectives for a bunch of early jeweled chests, which got me pretty decent gear right off-the-bat once I finally began resetting. Even someone who plays at a slower rate can still knock out a bunch of the earlier objectives quickly because they are intentionally piss-easy to let the player get used to the mechanic and reward them for trying it out. A player's originals should be plenty equipped before they are taking on events. The events even make sure of this by limiting accessibility based on how many idols the player has, which means they are required to have reset a number of time before they can even accept event objectives, and after multiple resets, the player should have their originals at least halfway-decently equipped with at LEAST all-uncommon and a few rares, assuming they, for some reason, did not do any ruby-based objectives to get jeweled chests. 2) You're lumping ALL ECs together in one nebulous classification despite the topic being about how mission ECs are not equipped enough to compete with original crusaders. EVENT-obtained ECs tend to have fairly decent gear that can potentially work better than original crusaders, but MISSION-obtained ECs do not have that benefit, which is the topic of this thread. Lumping the two types of ECs together is the antithesis of this thread. |

KameRoseYou are just too much! Now you are just disagreeing about facts that are clear as day. So with this I will leave you to your pessimism.
P.S. Events are set at low level of difficulty so even those starting out with crappy gear can complete. Obviously not the Jeweled Chest objectives(which are not needed to complete the event, there is no achievements for them), but once the two new Event Crusaders(which require no idols) are recruited then FP is unlocked. If you are going to tell someone that they are wrong please make sure your supposed 'facts' are right. |

Irony. So much irony. There's an event going on right now, so you can actually check this for yourself as you read this... Top-left. Hover over your current objective. Click "See All Objectives". Go up to the events and click the third, fourth, or fifth event objectives. You know, the three event objectives that have the biggest impact on gearing up ECs, as is the purpose of this thread. You go check those. Click any of those and then look at the right, where it says "Objectives & Restrictions". Among the list of objectives and restrictions, check to see if there is an idol requirement on any, or all three, of them. If there is not and you are correct, post your Paypal information and I will pay you for a full 3-course meal at a nice restaurant. |

serlethI typically get at least two rares to gear my EC's. Often one epic, for at least one of the two ECs.
The problem with that is, I'm now levelled enough to be able crush the events fast enough (using warps) to be able to generate the chests required to gear the ECs. Whereas before, I wasn't. So now I have about four earned ECs, and an additional three from missions, that aren't even remotely geared, and I'm getting maybe one mission a week to gear crusaders. The game's certainly playable without them, but I can't help but feel I'm missing out on some possibly better formations as a result of having missed / not been powerful enough for earlier events, and that's the greater issue for me here: it's flat out bad game design. There's a number of potential ways to solve this (spend idols to opt-in to event missions to try gear your ECs), more frequent repeat of events to gear crusaders, more frequent missions, whatever. I guess maybe they're fine with introducing a bunch of new ECs that fill similar roles maybe? But it's a bit ridiculous to have to wait a year just to try gear other ECs you've acquired through missions, or acquired very early on in your game progress that didn't allow you to run for more chests. |
