Regarding Jim's lumber quest, he wasn't showing a yellow exclamation mark after you first talked to him, which would explain the confusion around not knowing to talk to him again to start collecting lumber! This has been fixed. And regarding the cottage, Jim will offer to build one for you a day AFTER you've built your rowboat to get to your lake island (we reduced it from a three day wait). You must also be level 290 before this cottage quest becomes available. Sorry for any confusion!
