IamGrootIt would be nice to have a timer of sorts for the chest cooldown on AI.

BanemaxDear Nick and all in CNE,
I have an suggestion, and some players on chat agreed with me. Can you make this option aviable - when player put rune on sword on Black Smith, in case that he done wrong decission, to make possible to put that rune back in inventory of runes and put other rune (even if rune lasts for 1 day or 1 hour). I don't know if I wrote this corectly (my knowledge of english ;-) ), I meant possibility to unsocket rune from sword - put that rune in inventory - and put other rune on place (3 possible places). Thank you for all, Yours, Banemax |

JKNAI91Hey Nick and all in CNE, I was one of the players who agreed with Banemax that it would be a wonderful idea to be able to unsocket runes and put them back in their inventory. What if we accidentally place one we don't want to use? Or want to change which sword we are using but don't want to have to wait until our runes run out.. It would definitely be helpful to be able to remove them. Thank you for taking the time to read this :)

AnubischickHi Nick, just throwing my two cents in here, I'd like a timer on the new cooldown AI chest as well. Given my playstyle is to build up gems during the events and then spam the casino during downtime I'm going to need to modify how I play. I assume all the other rewards are still on a daily cycle (since the chest appears to still be locked after a day).
Also, the swapping of the runes is a good idea, I like my sword but there are times I'd like to swap it out for aesthetic reasons and I don't want to lose the runes. Personally I'd like to be able to slot runes into a sword and then put it in inventory and not have the runes run down. A bit like the trinkets, so I could have a sword I use when I'm doing quests which have quest runes, one when I'm trying to build up gems with gem runes (for that pesky topaz dreams machine on AI). |

Russel Dentoni just want to know why would we need a timer on the AI treasure chest we get when we complete the puzzle, the whole idea is players complete the puzzle and get rewards, it does not matter if player A completes a puzzle in 30min, compared to others, i would like some more explanation into this whole timer thing please.
this is aimed at the top 3 players above my comment, the devs will be working on something for runes expiring in swords etc, it was even discussed last year, here is a link https://forum.codenameentertainment.com/?thread_id=26319 |

kiki_ar(sorry, posted like a new thread. Here it goes again :D )
Hi Nick! I second what I am Groot requested: the Amicus puzzle chest to have a timer. So we can check it with the town cryer... Thanks! |

IamGrootLast Edited February 4th at 4:47 PM @Russel Denton: The reason I am requesting a timer for the AI chest is because on February 1st, Nick announced on the blog that the AI chest is now on a cooldown so you are only able to earn one chest every “2 days”.
It can be difficult to determine when the chest will be available again without frequently running to AI to check. Is the countdown 48 hours? Is it based on the BW2 clock (either noon or midnight?) Will the Timey Wimey work? A timer would be handy for those of us who enjoy the chest rewards on a regular basis. |

Horsedancer1Last Edited February 5th at 10:51 AM I don't like the energy or idea of a bar, but would love a coffee shop where we could chat. There is a GREAT bookstore in Seattle that has a bookstore with a coffee shop & books in the basement. I used to love to go there!!

ElizI don't understand why we need a cooldown for the chest. If people want to spend their time gambling for puzzle pieces instead of whacking bushes, more power to them. It takes me several hours of gem slots to get a whole puzzle
If you want to limit it to once a day, not terrible, but every 2 days? not cool. Why did this even come up? |

Russel DentonThis whole timer for AI chest, has upset a few players, so i have come up with a suggestion,
- why not have a vote on it, and players could vote whether they want a cooldown for the AI chest or not, let the players decide...simple |

Hongkongelder1130Last Edited February 5th at 5:34 PM OH MY GOSH people why are we trying to fix something that doesn't need fixing trying to reinvent the wheel here let nick work on more important matters...but i agree the rune problem with swords does need a check up HKE but I think nick is aware of the problem.

AnubischickLast Edited February 5th at 8:53 PM I must admit, I'm confused why the request for a timer would upset anyone. We have timers on just about everything in the game and a central place to see them with the Town Crier. I imagine it's only a couple of lines of code.
But if a vote is needed, and it really isn't, Nick will either do it or he won't. Then I'll vote for one. Then again I'll also vote for the reduction trinkets to work on it as well, which may be pushing the friendship :) |

jpl77Last Edited February 6th at 11:51 AM 1) There are so many confidently wrong answers/suggestions/opinions in here
2) #1 is probably because many people aren't bothered to read up on or figure out what happened 3) NO PLAYER ASKED FOR THIS COOL DOWN TIMER ON THE CHEST personal rant: I hate the mentality that if an issue or problem doesn't affect one player they feel entitled to spew their thoughts as gospel to invalidate others. That's call "personal incredulity". Stop dismissing other's comments, suggestions, questions and requests! So let's back this up a bit. * Nick instituted a cool down timer on the Amicus Island Casino chest * this update was ONLY published in the Feb 1 release notes blog * nobody in the community noticed this or discussed it until a player tried to open their chest and thought it was a glitch * this player emailed the Devs about their 'glitch' and it was explained in the support ticket about the AI Chest Cooldown Timer * word spread around the community about the casino chest timer being 48 hours, and a few players started to test the timer * these players couldn't figure out exactly when the timer started and finished, and when it reset * a player posted their request to have a visible timer showing the cooldown for this newly implemented timer So, as it stands: - THERE IS A COOL DOWN TIMER ON THE CHEST - THERE WILL BE NO VOTE FROM PLAYERS TO CHANGE THIS - The players who requested the cool down "timer" in this thread have asked that the Devs put a popup notification in the game to show when exactly this timer completes and when the chest will be available to open again. |

ElizMaybe what I said at first was misconstrued. I didn't think that we needed notification when I didn't know that the chest had a cooldown.
Now that I know that there is a 2-day cooldown, I don't understand why that was implemented and I think 2 days is extreme. |

Ready PlayerLast Edited February 6th at 11:43 AM I am very upset about the cooldown on the AI chest.
Please, Nick, consider REMOVING the cooldown COMPLETELY. I would at least appreciate a reasonable explanation for why you felt you had to institute this change. I count on doing the AI puzzles to help me get Bush Bucks to exchange for pets during the pet sales. I will click along for hours and hours to get those puzzle pieces. I do spend real cash money on the game but I am on a limited budget and it is difficult to justify selfishly purchasing Bush Bucks for the pet sales. I prefer to buy gifts for other players with my real cash. Thank you |
