ZingmanLast Edited December 19th at 12:29 AM Very first impression is kinda meh. Looks to be copy of the tunnels from Halflight Haven, perhaps combining the Specular Cavern and the Tunnels into one (which is a good thing, since I hated doing the Specular Cavern 9and not being able to do dailies). Also diggery.
One suggestion, and this is more for people who are just starting out/have not reached the Cloud King yet, is that with each new quest hub, that the costs of buying out the store in the previous hubs be reduced. Now admittedly I was less than fastidious about doing the dalies for HH, as least when there was no events going on, but I literally just finished buying out HH -- today lol. Someone who hasn't reached the Cloud King yet, to buy out every quest hub, would take a very very very long time, even the by the most diligent player. |

Nickshire (CNE Dev)Thanks for the honest feedback, Zingman! We'll take it into consideration for the next quest hub.

NimblecraftI equipped 2 runes that make you win less gold which seemed to help dig up obsidian chunks more often. I just dug every day before diving into the dwarf mines and in a week or so I had about 100 chunks? You kind of have to not pay attention to your inventory and just dig everyday lol
Hope this helps. I'm all for new areas, new hubs, along with shiny new items, but I have to say it feels taxing for *daily quests* comprised of quest monsters taking twice as long to spawn (like +10 whacks vs 5) and needing to solve a puzzle to move to the next area to get the quest items that spawn outside the field... |

irishpat04Thanks for that tip, Nimble. I only seem to have one trinket to make less gold but I will try it.

Nimblecraftnp irishpat04. It'll cost you a couple mil to craft those 2 runes but it's worth it.

ZingmanHonestly did not find the Obsidian Chunk drop rate to be that bad, was getting 1-2 for every 150 diggery (pick + battery). The annoying bit was constantly having to go back and forth between the mine and the SBA. And given that it's only for one item, that's ok if it takes awhile to get them all (took me about a week and half). Bandoliers have greatly improved diggery since we first encountered it (thank you) but I still hate it, almost as much as fishing lol.
The Drudge tunnels themselves on the other hand, just leave me feeling kinda meh. I think part of the issue with this and the tunnels in Halflight Haven was that it's a lot harder to advance the flux, since this and the previous hub needed to be completed in a specific map/dungeon. , |

Matthew KliparchukHey nick in the mines when u complete a field and the top field has a lock it seems to be unclickable im not sure if it has to do with a stalagmite overlapping the lock.

Nickshire (CNE Dev)Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated.
I understand collecting all the Obsidian Chunks requires a fair amount of digging, and not everyone is a fan of that. You can thank Ariana for the store items, Matthew Kliparchuk! Glad to hear one amuses you. Zingman - fair point on working on hub dailies in the Tunnels or Dredge Mines means you aren't progressing in the Flux, despite past hubs letting you do so. After the advent of the Flungeon, there was more progression to the Flux 20.0, so we though having the player choose whether to progress a hub or that made for a compelling decision. But since there is no Flungeon in Flux 21.0 and that prior hubs let you progress while whacking in the Flux, I see this decision warrants revisiting. I've down all the feedback and will consider incorporating some of it. Thanks folks! |

ZingmanLast Edited January 21st at 10:18 PM Thanks Nick. To me it wasn't a compelling decision at all though. It was either/or and once I got the trinkets from flux 21.0 the flux/flungeon almost completely lost out. I've only gone to the flux when the dallies are done, and the puzzle for the tunnels/dredge was complete as well, so the flungeon has advanced from a max depth of 5 (I think) to... 7.
Part of the reason it wasn't a compelling choice (to me) was that the flux/flungeon will always be there, while with quest hub I'm kind of working against a deadline (of sorts) in that the OCD completionist in me wants to get the hub to 100% I really need to do it before the next hub comes out. (and with Halflight Haven I actually didn't make it, I was literally one item short in the store). Edit to add: I really like the idea of the sugarless drink recycler -- kill two birds with one stone (way too many drinks + excess dredge keys) |

DocHoneydewI, unfortunately, found the sugarless drink recycler far less likeable. Very underwhelming.
I'd've rather had a fridge to store them. The 'rewards' from turning in a drink (and a key!) were less than an event small pack. And it's not even on your ranch, just the out of the way hub (with no teleporter, either.) Not worth the effort. |

FlybabyLast Edited Yesterday at 9:15 AM I agree with Matthew Kliparchuk's comment above ... The north path for the dredge key reward does not unlock if you need a key.
