They are weak at the current moment. Seriously weak.

So my suggestion is to increase their stat based on the feelings towards you (the player)

stranger - friendly - trusted - honoured

+5% - +10% - +15% - + 20% stats boost.

They will at least increase in some strength and do something instead of being cannon fodder. I hit the monsters for 5-6k jared around 800 (1200 if he use rage) sometimes he does nothing at all. And linneth 1,4 - 2k at least she has some use but dies fast because of low def/health.

Companions actually do receive a damage boost from their friendliness level. At the highest level (exalted) they have a 20% boost.

With that said, we do have a bunch of other plans in the books for companion power boosting.

I hope that one of the plans is to be able to use luck runes for enchanting *a serious deficiency at the moment*

Making it easier to enchant companion gear is one of the things we're looking at insofar as companion related boosts are concerned.

Really? ... It feels so weak that they are.

But then again it just might be the issue of the equipment.
And Jareq that sometimes just does nothing and just stands there.

Jareq should no longer be skipping his turn. That's a glitch we fixed in the patch on Monday.

I just got Cristof from Honoured to Revered, and was watching his HP to see if it improved by any percentage... it didn't :(

But coming back and searching for where I saw Justin mention a 20% bonus for Exalted, I see that it's only mentioned as a damage boost... I wasn't even looking at damage when I levelled up his loyalty...

It's a shame it's not a bonus that applies to all stats... companions are still incredibly weak.

As I said before, we have a bunch of really fun companion boosting ideas in the pipe. Without spoiling too much, we're thinking about a companion talent tree of some sort (where you can pick and choose different talents that apply to your companions across the board and buff them in interesting ways), companion specializations (a choice between different specs for each companion where each spec changes their skills and gives them attack/defense boosts; ie. maybe Christof gets a "Templar" spec that in-part vastly increases his magic resistance), and some way of upgrading their gear beyond just companion missions (blue and eventually epic level gear for companions).

I get really really excited about thinking what you guys will do with these systems, once we eventually get around to implementing them.

Justin - Makes sense. I have always wondered why Lilinth can heal a deer but never tries to heal herself or her own team!!!
