I know being in Alpha, this is kind of early to talk about balance concerns. However... Flame Lazer's damage output is just ridiculous. For the last couple of days I've been able to use it to 1 shot, or almost 1 shot, every "boss" enemy I have encountered. What has really convinced me though was the level 33 Scorpion you encounter in the desert tomb mission from Lilinth, where she gets her green breastplate. I'm only level 21, but I killed that level 33 Scorpion with 2 attacks, because of Flame Lazer. It's damage output it just enormous.

What are everyone's thoughts about it?

I think the level thing is just either a glitch or unfinished enemies because I've killed a number of enemies several levels higher with just basic attacks and no problems.

I don't really think it flame laser is unbalanced. It takes a lot of Aracne Power to build up to use it, about 8 turns worth, so it should be powerful.

We're planning to do a pass of "boss" creatures to increase their health bars and make them more interesting to fight. That should help with the issue of one-shots, but we'll keep our eyes on the massive attack skills (impale, flame laser, and piercing arrow) to make sure they're not too powerful.

I think Jason is right... in Warrior, Furious does the same thing when combined with Strike. You skip a turn, but the power boost is worth it... I just wish the others would let me get a few more regular strikes in on an enemy so I can build up my rage a bit. I like being able to have enough points to use my multi-attacks as well as my higher attacks that cost more rage.

its not overpowered it needs 30 arcane power/mana per shot which is 5 fireballs (5 turns) or like 7-10+ auto attacks and considering how squishy mages are compared to other classes in arena you need some hp boosts also or you will die before even being able to use flame laser
