I quit on all Events and Challenges

Hello,

while I really like the base games I really hate your challenges and events with a passion. EB1&EB2&BW are not in topic, even though they are the same.
On EBA even Day1 Players agree (yeah I know now some trolls will crawl out that manage everything super fast... blah blah) that they can manage all events and challenges only when they play on Stage1-3 of a monkey because it only takes 1 hammer. But this can't be the way to play events.

Also the challenges are very bad. If it is about getting multipliers suddenly all multipliers vanish from eggs and only a very rare amount will come up. Or the event challenges... 1010 Hammers + random hammers from eggs + a lot of stars and only 82/120 riches ?
Yesterday some rare challenge where I only got 5-10% of the needed items from over 1000 hammers. Where is the fun in that, when events are build up to only be possible when you exploit the game to it's fullest or buy humongous ammounts of hammers???
But about buying... Seeing that I don't even stand a chance to get ANYWHERE without exploiting or buying, keeps me AWAY from buying.

I buy premium currency on games where I can fully play for fun, where I feel that I really just support the devs and not buy myself advances to finish something every player is taking part...

Well... Just wanted to say.
Yes, I know my english is bad, I am just a german user.

kind regards

Yes, challenges can be pretty hard sometimes.
Just learn from that and don't play them when they come up the next year.

Financially I can no longer justify buying stuff for games, mainly because in the past I've spent money on other games that no longer exist.

I feel that unless you have a huge ego you need to feed by beating others, you are only playing to advance yourself and that's fun right?

There are times I see people posting that they are finished or about to on the first day. I think to myself, well looks like this is an easy one ... only to find out ... wrong ... lol

i have been playing since day 1. im also finding it harder now to finish an event then it was when i started. I get that its all random. but if you cant finish why play. there needs to be happy medium. not supper easy and not very difficult.

I have played EB1, 2 and now EBA all through to completion. That being said, I have not bothered much with the events lately since they seem to be way harder than before and all the fun has been taken out of them for me. I don't want the game to become a job... I want it to be fun. I do not have hours to play daily either so this is just too much. I hope that DJ Arts will find a different way to run their events because I can see me (and others) giving up on the game if this continues.

I couldn't agree with you more. I tried EB1 and BW, but didn't really like them. EB2 and EBA I thoroughly enjoy. I completed EB2, and have been with EBA since the first week of its existence. Every day I max out my hammers, play out my stars, and always hit the buffs for events to max my mulitplier. The last event? I didn't even bother trying. Why should I when the items needed are few and far between, and I'm not in a position to buy anything. What started off as a lot of fun where everyone stood the same chance suddenly is less fun because there are people completing the events in just a couple days and I know I don't have a chance. It's just not what it used to be. :(

If you need a QA on Events in advance I will gladly help.
But the events, as they are at the moment is really no fun at all.

I just went through 500 hammers and only got 12 summer vacation tokens, how are you suppose to finish anything like that? It will not even be remotely possible to get the hammer or hat at this rate :(

Haven't been on the discussion boards in quite a while, or else I would have chimed in (significantly) earlier. I typically do finish the full events (almost always on the very last day; some times, the day before), but I find the events where you need to build up huge amounts of gold (by getting the event buff, and then repeatedly multiplying every egg to build up a large multiplier) rather frustrating (and very time consuming). EB1-style events (where you just collected event tokens and prizes) were a lot more fun. Also (and this is due to the way bananas are implemented) having to use a nearly-completed (or worse, already completed) monkey, just to be able to get enough event tokens to play the event successfully, is also somewhat annoying. You may observe a lot of players complaining about events starting (because, in order to be successful, they need to switch back to an already-completed monkey) instead of being able to play the event (just as well) regardless of which regular monkey they are working on. This latter frustration could possibly be fixed by decreasing the per-completed-level bonus of each monkey, while increasing the per-completed-monkey bonus. Just a thought...

Thank you very much for explaining all that to me. I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you but I've been really sick this summer. I have an illness that is very rare and it attacks my immune system and I spend a lot of time in the hospital. Thanks for dealing with me and my crankiness. Robbyn
