What is 6-1*0+7/7?

According to Mr. Monkey, the answer is 7. But he's wrong, the answer is 1.

In doing math equations, you solve from left to right. Thus...

6-1*0+7/7
6-1=5 ... 5*0=0 ... 0+7=7 ... 7/7=1

You can change the order of solve by using parenthesis, which get solved first. Mr. Monkey, in order to be right, would need to put in parenthesis, as follows:

6-(1*0)+(7/7) THEN it becomes...
...(1*0=0) ... (7/7=1)
6-0=6 ... 6+1=7

But, alas, Mr. Monkey used no parenthesis,

Thus, I feel I am owed a Trivia Multiplier Crate. Please?

In math equations, BEDMAS/PEMDAS applies. Multiplication and division should be completed before addition and subtraction. Parentheses are not required. Mr. Monkey has it right.
