Do you get more points for the more expensive plants? If not, I don't see how it makes sense to buy them. I feel like I'm getting nowhere on this event. This is the third year I've played it and I'm nowhere close to finishing it.

The more expensive plants other than the tree help you get to the goal faster. If you've been playing for three years you should be able to multiply well for getting more tokens. Of course if you only play Monkey Breaker then getting more tokens is difficult.

Okay, I'll give it a try. Thanks.

Um, nope. Bought the Berry Bush and when I harvested it, I only got 1 point for it. Doesn't look like there's any point in buying more expensive plants, if you still only get 1 point.

if you can purchase all the plants you need (to finish the event, you need a total of 180) in 9-hour intervals [which should *definitely* be the case if you've played this event the last two years], then you can do it the most cheaply that way. Some people will need the extra speed available by buying the more expensive plants.

LeeAnn, I didn't mean to buy the tree. I meant like Marc did. You get to the goal faster because of time not because of cost.

you just need 180 plants in total to reach level 4.

I didn't buy any trees, Janna. I didn't know you meant because of time though. My question was if the more expensive ones were worth more points, but I guess they aren't. I only go to the app once a day. Once I've played that one time a day, I don't give the game a second thought to go back and check some plants. I guess it will just take me a couple more years. No big deal. My life doesn't depend on it. Thanks anyway.

PS: You also need a certain amount of animals to reach level 4. Nobody ever sends or posts those anymore though, so not sure what to do about that.

been awhile since I did this one, I think the expensive ones were only worth it if you really wanted them in your scene and you had the extra tokens

I mainly just purchased the sunflowers, yellow roses, grass, and pond reeds the first two years because of time, cost, and preference. I do have the tree stump for the animals to sit on. I got the tree this time just to have it, but I am only getting sunflowers and yellow roses for that is what I would buy in the store. I don't really care for the roses or red tulips.
