I'm not even sure what could be causing this, but when comparing reaching my area cap in the current Hidden Temple free play and reaching the same area in Ready Player Two's free play, both of which have 14 slots in the formation, RPT gives, on average, twice as many idols by the end with a 60% free play buff as HT gives with a full 150% event buff. Same area cap, but the supposedly-higher idol buff amounts to an average of 350,000,000 idols per reset compared to RPT's lesser buff amounting to an average of 600,000,000 idols per reset.
