Mandy CameronWhile I LOVE getting all the Valentines to help me with hammers and stars, I have so many on my board that it is making the already slow process of sending Valentine's out, even slower. I have always loved EB's uniqueness in these special events. This is no exception, but maybe next time, have the Valentine cork board on a different screen, please? Thanks for listening.

Lynelle Turley KleinI think the lag might be due to something else, rather than the valentines. The lag was REALLY bad Sunday night, but early Monday morning, it was fine. It probably has to do with usage. If you send valentines at a time that fewer people are playing, it will go faster.
But the lag is bad this morning, even though it's just morning. Hope it gets better. When the lag is bad, I just walk away and try again later. I have a lot of valentines to reciprocate. |

Sarah ByeIt just took me 10 minutes to send 20 valentines. Good thing I'm finished sending my 400 valentines and can now send out only awesome ones....won't take as long.

Sarah ByeJanusz, I would gladly send several small valentines to more people, but it is taking way too long to do so.

Lynelle Turley KleinYou only roughly double (or a little more) the amount of hammers/stars for an awesome valentine that costs 5 times as much. Me and my friends are still sending small valentines. Takes forever, but you get so much more.
The lag is killing me today. It's taking over a minute to buy a multiplier and I have high speed internet. |

Lynelle Turley KleinDavid did a couple things, including limiting the number of items that appear on our boards. (Guess I was wrong. haha).
It is WONDERFUL that we can send valentines much faster now. |

Lynelle Turley KleinNo, there isn't. David said the facebook interface only allows us to send one item at a time period. It's a facebook limitation, not an eggbreaker limitation.

David Whittaker (CNE Dev)In this case you are buying the Valentine to send with valentines tokens. The facebook request interface does not give us an opportunity to validate you can afford the number of users you have selected before it actually sends them the requests. Thus we have to send one at a time, pre-validating that you can afford to send to that person.

Lasynda ShichirojiHi David,
ok I suppose I'm lost here then in the original Egg Breaker you had Candy Hearts to use for buying hammers, stars, multipliers, or prizes(for those who were impatient). You also had the arrows, Cupid's arrows and Broken Arrows. The arrows you used to shoot at friends. You could shoot arrows at any one person up to 100 at a time I believe it was....at least I have 177 broken arrows and it will only let me shoot 100 maybe 200 is just the next step after 100 for all I know. So how is it that it knows you have that many to shoot there but it doesn't know how much you have that you can send now I guess is the question? |

Lynelle Turley KleinI can't answer for David, and I haven't played EB 1 in a while. But... your friends don't receive gifts from the arrows. In fact, I can't remember what they received. I think it was a buff.
But I would think that programming to give friends hammers, stars and multipliers in one valentine would be more complex than just a buff. They use a different gift system and interface. Course, I am not a programmer and could be wrong. But that is the first thought that crossed my mind. |

Lasynda ShichirojiYes it is a buff it gives increases that persons odds of getting Vday stuff.
However if I remember right from the Christmas event in EB1 you could send more then one gift at a time that was opened by the player sent to and it showed up as separate gifts not just one bulk set of gifts to open. I was just curious how it can tell how much you have for sending the buffs and being ok vs sending so many gifts to someone and it not being ok |

David Whittaker (CNE Dev)EB2 and EB1 are very different. EB2 uses facebooks request 2.0 system from inside the flash game. EB1 uses facebooks original request system from a basic webpage... Even in Eb1 you are not gifting to multiple people at once, only sending multiple gifts to the same person at once. For this event with some additional working it would have been possible to send multiples to the same person, but not multiple people at once. Unfortunately we did not have the man power available to make that happen.

Lasynda ShichirojiSorry if you misunderstood me David I never meant it as you could send to multiple people at once I was strictly meaning sending more then one to the same person. I just know alot of the people who play MG who also play EB2 so they can get the DJ Arts tokens have complained that it's just crazy how long it takes to send things during the events. I can sympathize with them I know I sent about 375 small gifts today and it just seemed to have taken forever to do it all. But I had to do it if I wanted the trophy for the event.
Also hehehe since you keep answering here when the event ends tonight will any gifts people have vanish or still be there to accept if they aren't on to get them before the event ends? |
