boI'm wary of blindly clicking them to find out, lest something permanent and unwanted occur.

Andreascheck the game's changelog. In a nutshell, CNE has changed the selection of crusaders for missions. Now, you can select crusaders as overall favorites or push them to the very end of the list by clicking the red X
Also, the sorting of crusaders has changed a bit. When more than one crusader has the same probability of succeeding the mission, they are sorted by EPs from lowest to highest now, instead of their 'age' in the game. |

Erika/AlynianaYup, there are some Crusaders that players never want to accidentally send on a mission, so you can now click the X symbol, and those crusaders will go to the end of the list.
Favourites are if there are Crusaders you always want to use on a mission, they'll be at the front of the list. :) |
