pdsred56I believe Baenarall's Diversity ability is being incorrectly calculated. I tested it by having just Baenarall and Brogon in my formation, which should have given me 190%: Baenarall contributes 100% with female, supernatural, event, angel, and support + Brogon contributes 100% with male, animal, royal, healer, and fire - 10% for the overlapping event and support tags on Brogon. Instead, the system registers this combination as 150%.

AndreasWhat gear do you have on Baenarall? And do you have mindy adjacent to her? If so, what gear do you have on her?

snowLast Edited April 10th 2017 at 10:25 PM It definitely is bugged. I remember going from 240 to 190 when I added Gloria to an empty slot. This was with diversity supposed to give 40/-5. Gloria added healing as a new tag so if you do the math it's obvious that the displayed effect and/or the calculations aren't working properly.

snowWell like I said, do the math. Hard to lose 90 with 2 or 3 duplicate tags that are supposed to be worth 5.

pdsred56Last Edited April 11th 2017 at 6:49 AM I only have gear in the first 2 slots of Baenarall which increase her ancient hatred and global dps, respectively. And I don't even have mindy to put next to her. As far as the math, in my first post I showed the math and how it wasn't adding up, so while I can't speak for everyone, the calculations are not being made properly for my account, and it's likely a system-wide issue.

snowAnother issue with Baenarall: ancient guard gives no bonus for slot 21+. They have no event tag and aren't unlocked through an event so I think they really should get one. Else the ability description should be changed to "the original 20 crusaders".

KameRoseLast Edited April 11th 2017 at 7:18 AM It's not bugged. The math goes like this:
* Baenarall's Tags: female, supernatural, event, angel, and support * 5 unique tags, no duplicates = 5 x 20% = 100% * then you add Brogon's tags: male, animal, royal, healer, dragon, event, and support * 8 unique tags, 2 duplicate = 8 x 20% - 2 x 5% = 160% - 10% = 150% EDIT: i.e. it no longer qualifies a unique tag if it is duplicated |

snow@Amanda And how do you explain going from 240 to 190 after adding Gloria? She has a total of 5 tags, at least 1 of which (healer) was unique in my formation.

pdsred56It may have made a bunch of other tags no longer unique, which would drop you by 50% each if you have +40% for each unique tag since you lose 40% for that tag no longer being unique and an additional 10% for 2 duplicate tags (2*5% each).

snowThe way I understand it you get the bonus for each unique tag, then any duplicate incurs a 5% penalty, but only once, so wouldn't matter how many duplicates of a single tag you have. So basically it would be full bonus for any tag that has no duplicate plus full - 5 for any tag that has duplicates. So with a 5 tag crusader you would get full bonus for the unique tag and up to 4 other tags might lose 5 each. Can't see how that coul possibly lower the total bonus by as much as it did.

pdsred56As per Amanda's post earlier, your impression that the bonus for every tag with duplicates would be full - 5% is incorrect, regardless of if the number of duplicates stacks. If you have multiple of a certain tag in a formation, you would only get a reduction, whether that be 5% or a multiple of 5%.

@snow I think psreds56 has the right idea, but let me try my hand at spelling it out. I'd have to 'see' your formation to be sure, but my best educated guess is: * two of the tags were already duplicates, so no penalty. No net effect. * two of the tags became duplicates, meaning you lost 40% for their new nonuniqueness status and gained the 5% penalty. Net effect for the addition of these two tags is a 90% decrease. * one tag was a new unique. Net effect of this added tag is a 40% increase. Meaning the total net effect of adding in Gloria was a 50% decrease. Does that make sense? Try this: * Baenarall * Allan * Broot That is six duplicate tags and two unique tags. Which means you should get a 50% bonus. The formula is fairly simple: # of tags that are not duplicated X 20%(ungeared or 22%/25%/30%/40%/60% depending on your gear) - 5% X # of tags that are duplicated. |
