My gold bonus should be around 400k (no active buffs of any kind and using the same formation). I also notice on occasion that my dps would drop when it should be going up. Any one else have this issue?

My Idol bonuses are:

Num of idols= 750

DPS= 2.25k%

Gold= 750%

Coins and Gold Bars: 70%

I have all Gold Panda abilites active and Det. Kaine in back row with 4 others and"Ah-ha" purchased.


Right now, my gold bonus is at 137k%. Before my reset, I had over 375K% with no other buffs. Very weird! It's also screwing with my superhero spring crusading as I am not able to earn as much gold as fast as I used to, which make getting enough idols for tier 2 objs. take even longer. I wish we had at least an extra day :(. Any helpful thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

OH lol. Thanks for the heads up. Yeah my formation was one that I had saved and then reloaded, so the dps and gold should have been actually been higher, since I had just had a huge idol gain (huge to me anyway) after a reset. Maybe it's a glitch caused by the Efficient Crusading talent, because it did drop after I purchased that.

I'm still amazed at how many idols you guys earn from resets! I only just started last week and after usually reset after reaching 20 idols (around area 95). I don't have an android phone, so I can't take advantage of that bonus, and I also don't have one for steam. I just have raw dps and gold boosts from idols, trinkets, gear, abilities (Det. Kaine and Gold Panda). I wouldn't care as much if I had more than 19 hours to get 710 idols so I can do the tier 2 obj. :(

LOL That's what I thought, as well. That's the reason why I told my GF to send a support ticket on Thurs. just in case they may not answer on the weekend. The Revenger's buff is still active. I mostly free play Worlds Wake, my formation (starting at back row from top down) has Det. Kaine (with Ah-ha), Bat Billionaire, King Reggie, and The Princess.

My second row has The Dragon siblings and Gold Panda (all gold buffs)

My Third row has The Witch Doctor and Artaxas, and in the front is Metal Soldierette.

This is my most used formation, and I have been using it for the better part of 2 days and have enjoyed over 300k% gold bonus until today (which should have went even higher after resets). This may have something to do with my completion of "Holy Hand Grenade" and purchased a second level of Efficient Crusading. I could be wrong, but it just seems too coincidental.

Oh ok. The Bat Billionaire only pushes it up to 205, and I didn't have it active at the time and Metal Sol. wasn't under attack. I notice that the dps would sometimes drop for no reason immediately after I raise it from leveling someone. I guarantee that there were only passive bonuses actives with no buffs. I know, weird right? LOL

I haven't noticed if anything has seemed off about my DPS or gold bonus but I have been wondering if maybe some pieces of gear get bugged to start counting twice at some point. Towards the end of some of my runs I sometimes see the slowdown effect from Momma Kaine's Stasis Beam actually causing the affected enemy to moonwalk off of the screen. The golden epic ray gun should boost the ability's effectiveness to 62.5% and that's usually what it's showing, but when I notice it bugging out the ability says 156.25%, which is 2.5 times larger and which matches the item's 150% bonus being applied a second time.

I don't know if that could be relevant to what you're seeing. Maybe spell everything out for us and we'll see if anything sticks out. Not just who is in your formation / how your formation is put together. List off what gear you have on them all as well. We might be able to spot a possibility in there.

You say you had previously noticed the gold bonus at 375k% and it's now 137k%. So the value had been 375 / 137 = 2.7372 times larger than what it currently is. That's probably not any one thing acting up because that would be a bonus of 173.72%. So if it's a problem like I suspect we'd be looking at the product of multiple bonuses if they were to be double applied. And if there is a combination that could possibly account for the difference you noticed, what would help the devs in actually being able to address the issue is if we can work out how it's actually happening in the first place. If we can point them in the right direction to reproducing the issue they can work out where it's going wrong in the code. I've generally been AFK whenever my issue has started so I only get back to it and find it that way. Maybe it could have something to do with the party getting wiped out and knocked back a stage? But that's just a guess.

Most bonuses in the game are typically multiplicative with other bonuses. Detective Kaine's A-Ha! ability places a buff on himself and on each other crusader in his column and those buffs all count as separate bonuses so they multiply with each other. (50% buff on three targets is providing a 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 = 3.375 multiplier to your overall gold bonus.) Gold Panda's gold abilities also multiply with each other. (Her abilities are for 25, 25, 25, and 50%. That is not a total bonus of 125%. They're multiplied together to make a 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.5 = 2.9296875 multiplier.) It may not be as obvious without grabbing a calculator what the result will be but this gets us far better numbers than we'd see if everything was just added together. (Det. Kaine and Gold Panda's abilities are a 3.375 x 2.929 = 9.888 multiplier, equivalent to a 888.8% boost. If we were to instead just add up the values it would only be a 275% boost. Also, if things were just additive then the benefit from gear and abilities would soon be overpowered by the benefit from idols and enchantment points. (What good would another +100% DPS be when you already have +1000000% from idols, right? Oh wow, 1000100%, such a big change...))

It will be slow getting started but things will really take off eventually. Obviously you want to buy as many levels as possible before a reset, and there's the Spend It All talent to automate that process. The first boost will be the Efficient Crusading talent, which will eventually bring "1 idol per 500 crusader levels" down to "1 idol per 250 crusader levels", effectively doubling your earnings. Deep Idol Scavenger is the next big thing after that, applying a multiplicative bonus based on how many areas you complete. At the max level that gives 0.5% per area. Completing area 500, as an example, would get that bonus up to 250% which effectively gets you "3.5 idols per 250 crusader levels". And then the next boost after that is the Extra Training talent, which increases the level cap for each crusader from 5000 to 6000. Oh, and outside of talents another boost is unlocking seats 21-23 (more crusaders to level = more levels to earn idols from) but it's going to take a while to reach that point.

@Raymond- I don't have any of those characters and have no idea how to get them lol. I only have who they give you at the start and the year 1 superheroes. I will definitely look into the ad bonus soon, as well.

@Muljo- It doesn't have anything to do with getting knocked back a stage because it didn't happen at any time while I had the bonus. I already poured everything I had into the Efficient Crusading talet (minus the auto-leveling button). At this point it's not gonna help me with my goal since I couldn't earn enough for me to get to the year 2 objs. . Oh well, guess I have to wait an entire year to get two crusaders :(

Don't worry, the game will be easier once you have more idols. Don't concentrate too much on objectives and optimize your idol-gain instead. If you are efficient you should be able to unluck tier 2 for the next event (Easter) that should start next week. I started during the Valentines Day event, barely got Sally and Rocky, but will have to wait as well for two crusaders for a whole year. But there are enough events throughout the whole year, so you will get more crusaders.
