TygariThe events for new crusades has used the same structure since the first event.
It was fun at first but it is now starting tog et boring doing the same thing over and over again. How about a community event? Or something else to change things up? |

TeschioSaying "things need to change" is very easy. Suggesting good ideas is hard. Try to be more constructive, and maybe the devs will listen to you.

GugWhat a steal, bigfat! $1!!! It costs me $5 in Kreds (50 Kreds) to get 3 event chests / 1 day +100% DPS / Free Epic. And that's in U.S. Dollars.
Just curious, what do Canadian Kongregate players pay for 50 Kreds? I noticed Codename is based in Canada, B.C. Before I get bashed for contributing my ideas to a post, here's something even the post mounties would find a contributing post contribution... Like the OP suggested... a community event would be fun! Like maybe my crusaders instead of battling monsters and bosses, battle another player's formation! As for what, exactly, I will leave the exactly to the devs. THANKS FOR THE POSTS and valid contributions to said posts, Tygari and bigfat! |

snowThere actually are some objectives that kinda simulate that experience, by either making you fight your own crusaders or a "party of adventurers" with skills in healing or tanking.

Muljo StphoHmmm... Kind of spitballing an idea here... Suppose that they add an interface for event daily quests.
Actually, taking a side track to a separate idea, move the standard daily quests to their own separate interface (instead of showing on the dailies / missions tab they'd have a button to a separate window just the same as the button to access the missions window) and reformat them so that there are NPCs on that screen that you can talk to when you're capable of picking up a new daily. Each NPC offers a specific type of daily and it's clear ahead of time what that will be. They go on a long cooldown before you can get another daily from the same NPC. And each NPC has a little overarching story to tell through the quests they give you (specific quests obtained in a specific order when experiencing this story) and only becoming random after you've completed their arc. Each has a special prize available for completing their arc. And maybe after an arc is completed and the NPC starts assigning a random quest they start tracking the number of times each specific quest from the arc is re-done and you get an extra bonus prize each time they've all been re-done an extra 3 times, or something like that. (With the random assignment it would take a while even if you're trying to focus hard on a specific NPC's quests.) Anyway, suppose that there's a button to access an event daily interface. When an event is active there would be special NPCs here related to the event. Event dailies would not have the 3 per day limit that the regular dailies have. They would be unlimited in that regard. But they would still have cooldowns for each NPC. Each NPC has a little story to tell and a specific order for their tasks when going through that story, and then it's random after their story is completed. Special prizes for completing these stories. The types of tasks requested by event daily quests might cover things like enemy kills in any objective of the event campaign (probably with an anti-farming mechanic that the kills only count before an area's task is completed), "unique" boss kills (meaning only the first time for each boss within each run, no farming the same boss) in any objective of the event campaign, event token collection (probably only if they can make it so that extra drops from time warps don't count), level-ups on event crusaders, or whatever else. The types of rewards earned from event dailies and from event NPC story arcs might be bonus event tokens (which wouldn't count towards the one suggested type of daily of course), bonus random event chest rolls, or perhaps even a bonus event jeweled chest. (Although imagine if there was a special bonus prize of a whole other event crusader to unlock for completing all of those little NPC stories.) |
