MrTonyCaliso if i open chests 1 at a time, i can disenchant dup items. when i open 5-25 chests at a time, my screen is still loaded with duplicate items, sure i have stacks of the mats but why are items being left if not giving EP value?
ive done this with gold chests also, if 1 @ a time no problems but opening 5, still getting duplicates that are not being counted as EP |

MrTonyCaliThanks Matt, see i understand that, the question is why are items NOT being disenchanted that show as duplicates when opening more than 1 chest

thedudeThey are being converted into crafting materiel when you open the chests. The pieces of gear appear in the payout to show you where the material is coming from.

Erika/AlynianaLast Edited March 1st 2017 at 9:28 AM The process for getting crafting materials is still disenchanting equipment.
We will monitor how confusing it is. |

AnimenutI think the question Tony is asking is the same thing I am wondering. However, I will split it into two examples for the sake of clarity.
Example 1: Open a single chest. View each card separately. When gear appears, click "disenchant" for that item. Get materials. Example 2: Open 100 chests. View all cards at once. Both materials AND gear all appear. No single gear is given the option to disenchant. So I guess the question would be if the gear in example 2 is just there to show the player what WAS disenchanted, and the materials on the top-left show the results of those auto-disenchants. Ergo, if the screen says "You got this duplicate rare gear", the player did not actually GET that duplicate rare gear (hence, no EP from the item), as that gear was automatically turned into 1 of the rare materials on the top-left. If there are 8 rare gears, then 1 of those came from the aforementioned rare duplicate. In other words, if a player were to count the exact number of materials and duplicate gear on the screen, those two numbers should be the same. |

Raymondif you open 5 or 25 or 100 chests at once, look at the first 3-5 things on that screen of all that you got, guess what they are? common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary materials, a whole lot of them as those few spots are filled in for each and every disenchant you get

AnimenutLast Edited March 1st 2017 at 3:11 PM Since apparently some are not understanding the explanations, and therefor their answers are not...well, answering much, I will provide a clear, actual example, then provide 2 ways of answering. Choose one of those two ways. "A" or "B". ONLY those answers will suffice, in an effort to end the confusion.
http://oi68.tinypic.com/j924bm.jpg In the above image, there are 8 gained common materials and 3 common gears clearly marked. Below are possible explanations, marked as "A" and "B". Choose which one is correct by ONLY saying "A" or "B". Say nothing else, to avoid further confusion. A: I obtained 8 common materials and 3 duplicates that were NOT disenchanted. B: I obtained 5 common materials and 3 duplicates that WERE disenchanted, totaling 8 common materials, but still showing the gear that WAS disenchanted. |

Erika/AlynianaLast Edited March 1st 2017 at 3:13 PM The 8 common material in your screenshot are from the 3 common gears being duplicates, and disenchanted.

AnimenutLast Edited March 1st 2017 at 3:21 PM So then B. Problem solved.
Note: 1 gear disenchanted does NOT equal 1 common gear piece. Ergo, those three gears may have disenchanted into 3, 3, and 2 common materials, respectively. |

AndreasLast Edited March 1st 2017 at 3:59 PM you know, reading through the available public information, or opening single chests including remembering how multiple chests have been working so far, or checking your play history would have answered your question, too ;)

AnimenutAndreas, the official blog does not explain what happens when opening multiple chests at once. Opening single chests works entirely differently than opening many at once. And how does "play history" answer this question? Nothing in the player stats mentions materials in any capacity, let alone how to read the results of opening many chests after the new patch.

MrTonyCaliI dont understand the need to show us what duplicates were disenchanted. Is there a reason? Before there was a reason to show us the dup, woot sweet RoboSanta got another EP!!
Would it be coding chaos to just remove the dup card? I go way back in the days of green screens and 5.25 floppies, but it all should be "Yes No IF Then GoTo Line"?Ha.. or are there now programs for programmers to use that do the programming LOL. but thank you all for the discussion on this. not sure of the percentage of us playing that take the time to view all the details. |

FingerDemonI'd be in favor of simply not displaying the Duplicate cards, and perhaps giving the Material cards a very unique look like shades of red borders or something.
