Has anyone else noticed a lack of rare gear in silver chests since the crafting update? I opened 125 silver chests today (a group of 100 shortly after the update and another 25 just now), and I did not get one single piece of rare gear (and therefore no rare crafting material).

I know the chest items are random, but I normally get at least a couple rares when opening 100 chests at once. I did get a few rare buffs and trinkets, just no gear. And I did get a few pieces of rare and epic gear when I opened 20 jeweled chests, just not from the silver ones.

I'm reluctant to open any more silver chests until I find out whether this is a bug or just really bad luck. All of my original 20 crusaders have rare or better items in every slot, so maybe that's affecting it somehow.

Have you loaded into the game since 3pm PST Feb 28th?

There was an issue with the chest opening not displaying the new equipment cards, that we believed to have resolved at that point in time.

You did still get any new rares, if you were missing any. You can check your play history by pressing "P" on your keyboard.

Did you ever play Munchkin? Heroes with more than one hat are perfectly normal, nonlinear circumstances taken into account :-)
